“The golden shower”presents a story of a separated family becoming reunited for the last farewell on the deathbed of their grandfather. Being a boy who was brought up by his grandparents during young age but spent most of his life in Taipei, Weizhe Wang returned to his hometown under his grandfather's critical health condition. His mother, Lifen, also experienced transitions from having little contact with her uncle, which filled with awkwardness and negotiation to open their heart towards each other. They further regain their family relationship and accompany the last minutes of their father.
The thesis consists of five chapters. The first three chapters record the following sequence from the original creation of the story to its motivation, purpose, theme research, pre-investigation, model, theoretical analysis, and lastly followed by the initial draft of the novel. Next, chapter four will include a complete the entire dialogue Chapter five, will contain the feedback and review of the book after the research investigation.
