日本翻譯小說大學生閱讀行為與日本次文化之研究

Study on Reading Behavior and Japanese Subculture of Japanese Translated Novels for Undergraduate Students

摘要


日本翻譯小說為台灣翻譯類書籍之大宗,在台灣的出版界發展穩定且蓬勃,受到許多讀者歡迎,而相關文獻指出,大學生可能為日本翻譯小說的讀者群之一;在日本次文化方面,台灣鄰近於日本,近年來受到許多日本次文化的影響,經由相關文獻可以發現,輕小說等書籍長期占據銷售排行榜,也是青少年喜愛的讀物,其改編之日劇、電影、動畫更是帶動銷售的主因。故本研究之研究目的如下:(1)探討喜愛閱讀日本翻譯小說的大學生之特徵;(2) 探討不同背景變項的大學生喜愛閱讀的日本翻譯小說主題類型、閱讀行為及影響因素;(3)探討日本翻譯小說閱讀行為與日本次文化之間的關聯。 本研究先採用訪談法,對政治大學推理小說研究社之社團成員進行深度訪談,並依受訪內容與文獻設計出問卷草案前測,後採用問卷調查法,以Wigfield & Guthrie(1997)的「閱讀動機量表」(MRQ),以及過往相關文獻與問卷草案,建構出本研究之問卷,針對國立政治大學大學部之學生進行調查,本研究共回收410份問卷,其中有效問卷為402份,並以SPSS21統計軟體進行分析。 本研究之問卷分析結果,本研究提出八點結論:(1) 偏好閱讀日本翻譯小說的大學生,其性別多為女性、最近一年有閱讀經驗者以外國語文學院為最多、其年級多為大一;(2) 大學生喜愛閱讀之日本翻譯小說類型多為「懸疑推理」;(3)日本翻譯小說大學生內隱動機偏低,大學生偏向好奇與休閒閱讀,且在閱讀時會產生投入;(4) 大學生閱讀日本翻譯小說的頻率為一個月以上才看一次,每次閱讀為3小時以上,多以家中為閱讀場所,閱讀數量為每月不到1本,習慣閱讀紙本書,取得日本翻譯小說的方式多為實體或網路書店、圖書館、向他人借閱;(5) 日本翻譯小說大學生內隱動機與外顯行為中的閱讀頻率、閱讀時間、閱讀數量呈現正相關;(6) 大學生認同日本次文化,但較未反映在實際的行為表現上;(7) 大學生的不同背景會對閱讀行為與日本次文化產生影響;(8) 日本翻譯小說大學生內隱動機與日本次文化具有相關性。 據此,本研究提出三點建議,供台灣出版界、圖書館與大學參考:(1) 調整日本翻譯小說之出版方針;(2) 增加圖書館推廣日本翻譯小說館藏之方案;(3) 增加對日本次文化有興趣的大學生推廣方式。

Japanese translated novels are main translational books in Taiwan with stable development and great popularity among readers. Previous study has indicated that undergraduate students might be one of the reader groups of Japanese translated novels. In terms of Japanese subculture, Taiwan has been influenced by many Japanese subcultures in recent years because of distance to Japan. Previous study has indicated that found that books such as light novel have long occupied the bestseller, also popular with teenagers. Therefore, the purpose of study are as follows: (1) to probe the characteristics of undergraduates who enjoys Japanese translated novels; (2) to probe reading behaviors and influencing factors of Japanese translated novels that undergraduates who enjoys Japanese translated novels with different backgrounds; (3) to probe the relationship between reading behavior of Japanese translated novels and the Japanese subculture. This study first conducted in-depth interviews with members of NCCU mystery club by using the interview method. Based on the content and literature of the interview, a questionnaire was designed for pre-testing, the questionnaire survey method was adopted according to Wigfield & Guthrie (1997)’s “The Motivation for Reading Qustionnaire (MRQ)”, related study and pre-test, constructed the formal questionnaires for this study, and conducted a survey to undergraduates of the National Chengchi University. A total of 410 samples were collected in this study, which 402 were valid. The data is analyzed by using SPSS21. According to the results of the questionnaire analysis, this study puts forward eight conclusions: (1) undergraduates who prefer to read Japanese translated novels are mostly female, and those with reading experience in the last year are the most in college of foreign languages & literature, and their grades are mostly older; (2) the type of Japanese translated novels that undergraduates like to read is mostly “suspense /mystery”; (3) undergraduates have low implicit motivations in reading Japanese translated novels, and they tend to read curiosity and leisurely, will be involved in reading; (4) the frequency of reading Japanese translated novels for undergraduates is more than one month, and each reading lasts for more than 3 hours. Most of them choose home as a reading place. The number of readings is less than 1 per month. They are used to reading paper books and obtain Japanese translated novels. Most of the ways are physical or online bookstores, libraries, and borrowing from others; (5) (5) the implicit motivation of undergraduates is positively correlated with the reading frequency, reading time, and number of readings in explicit behavior; (6) undergraduate identified Japanese subculture , but less reflected in actual behavior; (7) undergraduates with different backgrounds will affect reading behavior and Japanese subculture; (8) the implicit motivation is related to Japanese subculture. According to the results, three suggestions were made as reference for Taiwan’s publishing industry, libraries and universities: (1) adjust the publishing policy of Japanese translated novels; (2) increase the plan for libraries to promote the collection of Japanese translated novels; (3) increase promotion for undergraduates who are interested in Japanese subculture.
