電影產業是當代最普遍的休閒娛樂,其中以科幻電影類型的票房成績往往最為亮眼。在科技及商業行為急速暴漲的時代,消費大眾習慣接受刺激性的資訊,因此在這種時代背景下帶動了娛樂產業的發達,間接地影響了消費大眾的生活。各種充滿奇想與概念的科幻電影為滿足市場紛紛孕育而生,其吸引人之處在於它為人們勾勒出未來世界的藍圖,這種特殊的創作類型恰與從事設計工作者具有相同的特質,設計工作者受到科幻電影中的影響,在潛移默化中可能間接發展出改變未來社會的生活型態,甚至回饋給科幻電影的創作。 新經濟時代來臨,設計者如何在新產品開發前注入新的思維,替設計企劃尋找新出路,與文化創意產業的結合是未來相當具有潛力的開發模式。本研究試圖以科幻電影類型為對象,探討未來新產品開發切入的方法。藉由其中的藝術設計風格、高科技概念產品、產業界的市場潛在價值以及更深層的未來社會趨勢等面向,蒐集相關案例,經過質性分析和專家訪談歸結出三種科幻電影與新產品開發的關係: 1.設計手法,包括(1)造形語彙的挪用(2)使用機能的套用(3)時尚風格的聯結 2.企業策略,包括(1)授權商品(2)量產商品置入(3)概念設計置入(4)電影道具採用(5)搭便車行銷 3.社會趨勢,包括(1)科技發展(2)環保議題(3)人文關懷 設計師除了參考科幻電影中的造形風格之外,思考範圍必須更擴大至企業策略與社會趨勢層面。本研究歸納出其中的分類架構與各類型的運用關鍵性,可提供新產品開發時的方向和革新設計教育的參考。
Movie industry is the most popular form of entertainment and amusement nowadays, and in particular scientific fiction films are usually the best seller. In the era overwhelmingly led by scientific and commercial activities, consumers get used to the acception of stimulating information. Therefore, movie industry is driven by these activities and our life style is in turn indirectly affected by the movie industry. In order to satisfy the market, scientific fiction films with various fantastic concepts thus come one after another and the most attracting parts of these movies are their plotting of future world blueprint for the audience. Such special creation has a nature that is similar to that of the designers, thus, affected by the scientific fiction movie, designer might develop the living style which might change the future world indirectly and unknowingly or even feedback to the creation of the scientific fiction film. In the coming of new economic era, how a designer can put new concepts into a product and create a new market at earlier stages before the development of a new product is thus very important; and we think that its association with cultural industry is a very potential product development model in the future. In this study, we investigate the method to develop a new product based on the type of scientific movie as the research target. We have collected related cases through different aspects such as: arts design style, high tech concept-related product, market potential value in the industry and the deeper future social trend.With the qualitative analysis and expert interviews, three relationships between scientific fiction film and new product develops are summarized as in the followings: 1. Three levels of design methods: (1) the bornwing of fashion vocabulary, (2) the adoption of usability, and (3) the association with fashion and style. 2. Five types of corporate strategies: (1) authorized product, (2) the placement of product in mass production, (3) the placement of conceptual design, (4) the adoption of movie prop, and (5) the application of hitchhike marketing. 3. Three aspects of social trends: (1) scientific development, (2) environmental protection issues, and (3) humanities care. In addition to referring to the fashion and style in the scientific fiction films, the designers must extend their thinking scope to the corporate strategy and social trends. This study summarizes the classification structure and comprehensive applications to new product development, and implications to the revolution of design education.
