磷酸鋰鐵電池運用在汽車省油節能研究

摘要


本研究利用磷酸鋰鐵電池可快速充放電之特性,探討其安裝於汽車上使用之可行性,並驗證提高磷酸鋰鐵電池之輸出電壓,以期達到充分供應汽車上許多設備之需求。此磷酸鋰鐵電池相當於一個大的電容器,能夠儲存汽車發電機所發出之電能,並且充分供應汽車上所有用電設備,另外也可將汽車發電機所發出之多餘電能加以儲存,這樣即可減輕汽車發電機的負載,一但汽車發電機不須需發很多電來供應汽車用電需求,就可達到省油效果。此電池除了在汽車啟動時可瞬間提供大電流供汽車啟動外,在汽車行駛當中也能供應足夠電力給汽車上其他額外用電產品,減輕汽車發電機之沉重負荷,以達到省油節能的效果。本研究將以一顆13.2V、30AH之磷酸鋰鐵電池裝置於一台汽車上,其中磷酸鋰鐵電池係以磷酸鋰鐵(LFP)當正極材料,並在當中添加了一些貴金屬,及特殊材質的石墨為負極。如此可將原本導電能力較差的LFP以增加其導電性及電容量。經過實際安裝在汽車上,在大台北地區實測,安裝磷酸鋰鐵電池確可達到省油的效果,又能提升引擎扭力及續航力等等好處,故換裝磷酸鋰鐵電池是可行的。

In this study, the fast charg / discharge and high output voltage characteristics of the lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery was applied on the vehicle for saving fuel.The lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery was similar with a big capacitor to storage the generated electricity from generator,and provided the sufficient power supply for the vehicle. The advantages of the lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery are providing the large current for start and sufficient power during travel for energe and fuel saving. A LiFePO4 battery of 13.2V and 30AH was installed into a vehicle for experiments. This battery adopts the lithium iron phosphate (LFP) as the anode, and the graphite with the rare metal as the cathode.This structure could improve the conductivity and electrical capacity of LFP battery.Three vehicle installed with LiFePO4 battery drove in the metro Taipei city for six months testing.The experimental results indicated that the vehicle equipped with LiFePO4 battery could save more fuel than that with lead acid battery.The vehicle with LiFePO4 battery also equipped batter torque and endurance. Therefore, the vehicle couid save energy by installing the LiFePO4 battery.
