以數位科技輔助自閉症兒童學習之 多點觸控遊戲介面設計與研究

摘要


本研究以多元智慧理論作為自閉症兒童復健內涵為基礎,設計與開發一在平板電腦上操作之數位遊戲介面,並藉由使用者測試進行自閉症兒童對介面使用之接受度,期待能提供自閉症兒童創新科技之數位化學習輔具。 自閉症為一種中樞神經系統受損所引發的終身發展性障礙,目前所採取的復健方式多以增進其社會參與性及語言溝通訓練為主,較少針對適性發展為復健目標,故本研究採用多元智慧教育理論以強勢智能補強弱勢智能,採用空間概念輔助學習之遊戲設計,發展出使用多點觸控技術之平板電腦上之遊戲介面,提供自閉症兒童操作學習,並測試自閉症兒童對此套學習介面之接受度。 本研究首先藉由專家訪談確立系統介面設計之需求與規範,設計一套以Android系統為基礎之平板電腦遊戲應用程式軟體,並進行啟發式評估確認介面的使用性。進行修改後以個案觀察法了解自閉症兒童操作此介面的行為反應。本研究主要之結論如下:(1)應用數位科技於輔具能提升自閉症童的興趣;(2)數位遊戲輔具於輔助自閉症兒童溝通具有實際之效果;(3)多元智慧理論於自閉症復健內涵應用確實可行。期望由科技輔具概念的提出,本研究能提供新型態的自閉症兒童復健途徑一個有價值的參考。未來更可朝向遠距醫療、個案病童適性化治療的方向做更進一步的研究與發展。

This study adopts theory of multiple intelligences as foundation of autistic children’s rehabilitation implication to design and develop an interface for digital games which is intended for tablet PC, and tests users to assess acceptability of autistic children to the interface, in order to establish novel digital learning aids for autistic children. Autism is a lifelong developmental disability caused due to impairment in central nervous system. Currently enhancement of social participation and training of linguistic communication are the most common ways as rehabilitation for this disease, while adaptive development is less employed as goal of rehabilitation. This study applies the theory of multiple intelligences to supplement weak intelligence with strong, and employs a game design which uses spatial concept to aid learning. Its aim is to develop a game interface for tablet PC which uses the technology of multi-touch so as to aid autistic children’s operation and learning, as well as assess acceptability of these children to this learning interface. This study founded requirement and standard for design of system interface through interview with specialists. After working out an application software for games of Android-based tablet PC, this study conducted heuristic assessment to verify utility of the interface subsequently. And after modification of the interface, this study carried on case observation to explore behavioral reaction of autistic children during operation of the interface. Finally, this study summed up conclusions as follows: (1) Application of digital technological aids increased autistic children’s interest; (2) digital game aids had sound efficacy in enhancing autistic children’s communication; (3) the theory of multiple intelligences is indeed applicable to application of rehabilitation implication of autism. By proposing the concept of technology aids, this study expects to provide valuable reference for new type of rehabilitation patterns for autistic children. In the future, research and development of this issue can be oriented towards telemedicine and adaptive treatment of case children.
