高齡者電動輔助沙發設計與評估
Design and Evaluation of a Motor-Powered Assistive Sofa for the Elderly
摘要
因應高齡化社會來臨，許多高齡者需要自理生活，而日常生活中起身與坐下為最重要的基本動作，很多高齡者跌倒的意外就是發生在起身與坐下動作期間，輔助座椅可以較省力且降低跌倒的風險，然而市售輔助座椅多為高座面的單椅形式，且外觀具有明顯的輔具特徵，降低高齡者使用意願，且造形於居家客廳中亦顯得突兀；而一般居家客廳中沙發是最主要的家具之一，但沙發的座高較低，不利於高齡者乘坐，也不合乎通用設計原則，為使高齡者能如其他家庭成員一般使用沙發，實有必要設計一輔助起身坐下的沙發。 研究者曾開發過一張電動輔助沙發，並經過測試，證實確實有助於高齡者更省力且安全的起身與坐下。本研究目的有：(1)改良先前沙發之設計；(2)改良其中升降結構；(3)設計外觀造形；(4)實際測試，驗證輔助性。 根據高齡輔具發展的趨勢，本研究設計一有自動下降功能之電動輔助沙發，並進行實際的使用測試及主觀滿意度調查。研究發現：(1)有七成以上的受試者認為此沙發在幫助起身與坐下時有助益；(2)輔助坐下功能可有效的防止受試者跌坐的情況；(3)座面自動下降的功能受到受試者的喜愛，並提供更佳的安全性；(4)受試者比較喜歡單按鍵、單按壓的操作模式，也較為輕鬆安全。

To cope with the coming of aging society, more and more elderly people have to live independently. Sit-to-stand and stand-to-sit (STS) are considered to be one of the most important basic maneuvers in daily live. Many fall accidents happened during STS maneuvers. An assistive chair may help elderly people sit down or stand up easily and prevent them from fall accidents. However, the design of most existing products on the market belongs to side chair. Also, their appearances look rather machine-looking. This may undermine the willingness of using them for elderly people. The style may look incompatible in an ordinary living room. Sofa may be considered as one of most dominates furniture in living room. However, its low seat height may prevent elder people from using it. It may also jeopardize the Universal Design principles. There is a need to design an assistive sofa for elderly people. The design may help the elderly people use sofa easily as the other family members do. In a former study, an electrical assistive sofa H design was proposed. It was found the design is helpful for elderly people to stand-up and sit-down easily and safely. This study aims to: (1) improve the above design. (2) improve the rising mechanism. (3) Design the appearance of the sofa to fit in the interior of living rooms. (4) Test the usability of the prototype. According to the development trend of the elderly aids, this study designed a motor-powered assistive sofa with automatic auxiliary function. By the actual use of and the subjective satisfaction surveys test, this study found: (1) more than 70% subjects believe that this sofa is helpful to stand up and sit down. (2) auxiliary sit down function can prevent the subjects fell in effectively. (3) the function of the seat face down automatically by the subjects of love, and to provide better safety. (4) subjects prefer single button, single pressing operation mode and it’s also more easily and safety.
