隨著高齡化社會的到來,「老化」即是首先會面對到的基本問題。本研究主要目的在於發現高齡者因生理機能之退化,所產生現有居家座椅使用上之問題 ,並依據其需求提出適切的解決方式,進而設計一符合高齡者乘坐的居家座椅,提供高齡者居家座椅設計建議做為參考。於研究初期,研究者以家具使用現況觀察、問題發現與歸納,兩個階段,發覺高齡者於居家座椅使用上之問題及需求。研究發現:(1)高齡者常需藉外物來輔助起身,(2)低的座面會使高齡者起身較為不便,(3)高齡者較偏好有靠背的座椅,(4)高齡者在坐下過程中常有「跌坐」的情形。 為同時解決起身與坐下之問題,本研究提出一藉由氣壓棒機構輔助起身坐下之座椅設計;經由實驗獲得之結論如下: (1)相較於無輔助起身機構之實驗座椅,雖高齡者平均多花了0.99秒於有輔助機構之實驗座椅上進行起身動作,但80%受測者皆認為輔助機構對執行起身動作較省力。 (2)受測者於乘坐有輔助機構之座椅較無輔助機構者起身時之平均軀幹前傾角小了7.87度,亦即較為省力。 (3)相較於無輔助機構之座椅,受測者於乘坐有輔助機構者坐下時之平均軀幹前傾角小了5.59度,亦即較為省力。 (4)座椅之座面下方需保留6.5cm以上的腳跟後踩空間,能使高齡者更方便起身。
As the aging society comes, “aging” would be the initial basic problem encountered. The purpose of this research is to discover current problems faced by elders with chairs resulting from physiological function degradation, and provide appropriate solution to design chairs suitable for elders according to demand as reference of chair design for the elderly. In the initial stage of the research, researchers have discovered and induced the problems in two stages, discovering the problem and demand faced by elders for using chairs based on the furniture usage observation. The research found: (1) Elders need external substance for getting-up assistance; (2) Lower seats are more inconvenient for elders to get up; (3) Chairs with back are preferred by elders; (4) Elders are often encountered with “fall-sitting” during the sitting process. In order to solve the problem of getting up and sitting down simultaneously, chair design of gas spring mechanism for get-up and sit-down assistance has been proposed by this research. The experimental result reveals that: (1)Comparing to experimental chairs without get-up assistant mechanism, even though elders require more 0.99sec for getting up with experimental seats with get-up assistant mechanism, 80% subjects believe that assistant mechanism is helpful for getting up and sitting down. (2)The body-leaning angle of subjects sitting on chair with assistant mechanism is 7.87°,which smaller than the one without, which indicates that it is more effort-saving. (3)The body-leaning angle of subjects getting up on seat with assistant mechanism is 5.59°,which smaller than the one without, which indicates that it is more effort-saving. (4)The bottom of seat should be reserved with more than 6.5cm heel stepping space to enable elders to get up easier.
