本研究藉由探討國立臺中圖書館數位資源網站現有提供兒童使用介面之使用性問題,與結合圖像符號、注音系統等,輔助國小各年級兒童操作之兒童圖書館圖像化搜尋介面,比較兩者在介面使用性上之差異,探討是否有助提升學童使用成效。 研究結果顯示國小學童操作本研究建立之圖像化介面的操作成功次數比率與效率,明顯優於國立臺中圖書館數位資源網站介面。可推測在介面使用性的操作效能與效率上,本研究建置之兒童圖書館圖像化介面使用性,優於國立臺中圖書館數位資源網站介面,兒童圖書館圖像化介面的操作效率表現上雖為高年級優於中年級,但兩群體差異不大,與低年級相比,則稍有差距,因此,可推測本研究建置之兒童圖書館圖像化介面較適國小中年級以上之學童操作。依據研究結果提出下列幾點建議,供國內公共圖書館及相關研究參考:1.國內各公共圖書館應規劃兒童版本網站,且提供兒童使用之網站介面,應與一般大眾使用之版本有所區分;2.兒童圖書館網站規劃應考量目標使用族群的認知發展程度與需求;3.國內各公共圖書館可針對不同使用族群需求,規劃建置分眾使用之介面版本。
The purpose of this research was to compare the usability of interface by using the interface of Digital Resources Platform of National Taichung Library, and the interface made by the researcher. This children’s interface combined icon and mandarin phonetic symbols in this work, and examine whether it is beneficial or not. The results of the experiment indicated that the accurate percentage and efficient of this children’s interface made by the researcher, better than the interface of Digital Resources Platform in every grade of students. It is concluded that the usability of the children’s interface made by the researcher is better than the interface of Digital Resources Platform of National Taichung Library. The students of fifth and sixth grades performed better on using the interface than third and fourth grades. These two groups are in little difference. As to students of first and second grades the accurate percentage is much lower than the students of fifth and sixth grades. The findings of the research have indicated that the children’s interface made by researcher is suitable for the students above third grades. The research conducted three suggestions to public library in Taiwan: 1. Library website should be designed in a children’s interface in every public library. This interface is different from the general public one. 2. It is essential to consider the demand of target user then put into diverse design functions in various children’s library interface. 3. In conclusion, it is worth to execute dissimilar interface to different demand of every ethnic groups.
