由於石化能源需求的不斷持續增加,已迫使取代車用燃料的石化能源新科技產生。本研究所使用的FT(Fischer–Tropsch process)合成柴油就是利用CTL或GTL製程技術生產出來的新石化能源,以做為取代石化能源的車用柴油燃料。FT合成柴油具有較石化柴油高的十六烷值和燃料低熱值,又含硫和芳香烴的量甚微,為一優秀的柴油引擎替代性燃料。此外,為了減低溫室氣體,以及柴油引擎有害廢氣的排放,因此在FT合成柴油中添加目前較為常用的碳循環醇類燃料。由實驗結果證明,FT合成柴油添加乙醇的混合燃料較FT添加丁醇的混合燃料對柴油引擎有害廢氣排放的減低效果更為明顯。
Fossil energy demand is continuing to increase, forcing to replace the new technology to produce fuels of fossil fuels. FT (Fischer–Tropsch process)fuel used in this study is the use of CTL or GTL process technology and production, as automotive diesel fuel to replace fossil fuels. FT fuel comprised a high cetane number diesel fuel, low heating value, sulfur and aromatic hydrocarbons than petroleum is an excellent diesel engine fuel. In order to reduce greenhouse gases and harmful emissions of diesel engines, the added in the FT fuel is more commonly used carbon cycle alcohol fuel. Experimental results show that FT fuel to add ethanol blended fuel adding butanol mixed fuel is more conspicuous for the reduction of harmful exhaust emissions of diesel engines compared with FT.
