電腦機房空調氣流分析與節能潛力評估

The analysis of air conditioning airflow and the estimation of energy conservation potential in Data Center

摘要


本研究主要針對台灣地區設有電腦機房的公民營機構,探討其中設有資訊(IT)設備的電腦機房,區域內部狀態點之溫度、相對濕度與熱焓值的實際情形,並對相互之影響進行差異性分析,希望透過美國冷凍空調工程師協會建議的電腦機房溫濕度設定標準,檢視國內包含政府機關與大型電信企業電腦機房實際使用狀況,發掘電腦機房的潛在節能空間以及進一步節能改善的方式。 由研究發現,在美國冷凍空調工程師協會建議的電腦機房空調條件範圍內,改善電腦機房的氣流混合情形與提高電腦機櫃吸入口端之空氣溫度,都可因著調高空調主機的冰水溫度而達到電腦機房氣流節能的效果;由統計全國電腦機房類別的單位用電資料與能源效率指標分析,普遍發現國內電腦機房的能源使用效率都不佳,透過量化指標計算,若將國內40家電腦機房的效率指標1.91改善至美國冷凍空調工程師協會的年度統計基準1.63,則可藉此預估現階段國內電腦機房的實際節約能源潛力。

This paper aims to investigate the real operating conditions of temperature, relative humidity and enthalpy in the data centers of the government and large-scale telecommunication enterprises in Taiwan. Per Thermal Guidelines for Data Processing Environments (ASHRAE), in order to find out the energy conservation potential of data center and further improving method. The result shows that there are some energy conservation potentials by changing air flow pattern in data center. Reducing the air flow mixing in data center and rising the air temperature at the inlet of rack to meet the equipment environment specifications of ASHRAE could get energy saving, because it results in increasing the chiller water temperature. Through the power consumption statistics of domestic data centers and analysis of the efficiency indexes, it can be found that the power consumption efficiency of domestic data centers is not so good. According to energy efficiency benchmarking index, the energy conservation potential of data center could be estimated.
