Development of an Intelligent Living System Using the Internet of Things

摘要


本研究以物聯網(Internet of Things)為核心開發,設計出智慧生活型家庭應用系統。本系統架構分為Server端(電腦主機)、感測端(Basic Stamp開發板)、受控端(8051開發板)以及Client端(平板電腦)四部分,受控端和感測端分別透過藍芽模組互相傳輸,而感測端透過USB連接至Server端。本研究以一氧化碳與溫濕度感測器為感測硬體,以通風機構作為受控端硬體,以Java語言開發Server端電腦及以Android作業系統之平板電腦的應用程式,整合這四項成為一套智慧防災系統(Intelligent Disaster Prevention System, IDPS)。當感測端偵測到高濃度的一氧化碳時,訊號透過藍芽傳送給受控端處理,同時一氧化碳濃度過高的訊息也會透過Server端經由網路而傳送給Client端,讓使用者知道目前的家庭狀況。使用者也可透過平板電腦得知目前家中的溫度與溼度值。此系統經實際測試結果可讓使用者在外隨時監控家中一氧化碳濃度來驅動通風機構進行必要的處理。未來本系統可繼續增加感測端與受控端硬體,使系統更為完善。

In this study, we develop an intelligent living system using The Internet of Things as the core concept. The system architecture is divided into a Server site (host of computer), a Sensing site (Basic Stamp developed board), a Controlled site (the 8051 developed board)and a Client site (Tablet PC). The Controlled site and Sensing site transmitt data to each other through Bluetooth modules, and the Sensing site connect to Server site through an USB device. We use carbon monoxide, temperature and humidity sensors as sensing hardware, and the ventilation mechanism as Controlled site hardware. Java programming is adopted as Server site for application development and Android-based Tablet PC. These parts is integrated as a set of Intelligent Disaster Prevention System (IDPS). When the Sensing site detects a high carbon monoxide’s concentration, the signal is transmitted to the Controlled site to carry out necessary management. At the same time, the carbon monoxide’s high concentration message will be sent to the Client site through the Server site and let the user know current conditions. The user can also learn temperature and humidity readings through the Tablet PC. The system is proven to allow the user monitor current house data to proceed some actions in the outside. In the future, the system may increase Sensing/Controlled hardwares to make the system more applicable.
