本研究以探討資料中心的系統規畫及耗能狀況,並選擇國內某一知名金融機構之大型企業級資料中心為樣本,進行各類設備及空調耗能的監測、各類設備的效率與特性解析、各設備設備用電比例,以及節能改善評估模擬分析。其量測結果顯示,總用電平均需量為 299.36 kW、EUI為4565 kWh/yr.、PUE為1.68、DCiE為0.59,並與其他建築之耗能指標相比較,本研究案例與美國資料中心平均PUE耗能指標1.63相近,因此本研究樣本具有可做為日後資料中心耗能研究之比較參考基準。 藉由監測所得之耗能資料,透過eQuest動態能源分析軟體進行全年度耗能模擬為2623.1 MWh,並針對此資料中心,在不變更資訊設備與空調系統配置,同時不危害運行安全性的條件下,研究可行的節能與節費措拖,如:冷卻水系統修正、UPS減載、照明時間控制,以及變更為三段式時間電費等。 上述各種措施進行全年度耗能與電費的計算與比較,其節能潛力為5.62 %,節省電費潛力為10.51%。
This research aims at the power monitor of equipment in a data center of banking organization. And the efficiency, characteristic, energy-use breakdown of each equipment, and energy saving potential are analyzed. The average power demand is 299.36 kW. Total annual energy consumption is 2623.1 MWh. The EUI of this data center is 4565 kWh/yr, PUE 1.68, and DCiE 0.59. The PUE of this case quite approaches to the PUE of 1.63 averaged from the survey data by LBNLUSA. Therefore this study case will be a good example for the future research. Without compromise of the normal operation of data center, the annual energy saving potential is estimated as 5.62%, and the saving cost 10.51% by the computer dynamic energy simulation program, eQUEST. The energy conservation measures include: correcting the operation of cooling water system, reducing the capacity of UPS system, lighting time control, and using the three stage time-of-use charge for saving cost.
