Since the number of traffic accidents are increasing due to the vehicle density , all the vehicle manufactory companies are invested in the vehicle safety function study .Here , ultrasonic range sensors are employed to detect the relative distance between driving vehicle and that it to estimate the Time-to-collision(TTC) or developing a lateral impact warming system .The Grey theory is employed to predict the vehicle relative distance change for more early driver warming capability . The distance sensing system structure can help a vehicle to detect the around environment and analyze the 2D location for establishing the environment map , addition to the side impact warming system , this 2D environment map can also to used to develop a parking assistant system or an automatic parking system . More then two ultrasonic sensors are employed to detect the geometric relationship between two cars or vehicles and obstacles .Then the relative distance and orientation can be accurately derive for building the environment map.
