產業群聚與競爭優勢-以桃園縣鄰近地區紡織業者為例

摘要

產業群聚概念自weber（1909）提出工業區位論，porter（1990）在「國家競爭優勢」一書中提出產業群聚概念，並以鑽石模型來說明產業群聚產生的效益。
台灣紡織業自1940年發展以來，一直都是重要的策略性產業，尤其在石化業具有深厚基礎及品質優良的背景下，能夠滿足紡織上游原料自給自足的需求，使台灣紡織業能具備良好的國際競爭優勢。
研究目的:
1.以鑽石模型四要素檢視目前紡織業群聚的優勢或不足.
2.了解群聚內之區域優勢以及公司特性對競爭力的影響.
本研究以桃園縣鄰近地區之紡織業上、中、下游廠商為對象，以多元迴歸分析，探討產業群聚及公司特性對競爭力的影響，研究結果顯示：
1.產業群聚的生產要素及需求要素均對顧客回應有顯著性，意謂生產要素對業者
服務的質與量能滿足顧客需求，而當地顧客的特質亦構成了提升當地產業水準
的重要指標。
2.資訊傳播對創新研發及品質均有很高的顯著性，顯示透過紡織相關機構的網站
或服務，廠商能迅速掌握紡織訊息，彼此間對品質提升有相互影響的作用。
3.在公司年齡對創新研發顯著性方面，說明了公司年齡愈年輕，其員工整體而言，對創新研發的觀念及動機均較強烈。
4.在網絡關係對競爭力顯著性不足方面，顯示紡織業者應加強其本身在網絡地位的提升。
5.在營運成本的競爭力顯著性不足方面，廠商仍須計劃性的持續投資，購入更先進紡織機械設備，提升其產品的質與量。

The concept of Industrial Cluster was raised by Weber’s (1990) industrial location theory as well as, Porter’s (1990) book “The Competitive Advantage of Nations” in which Diamond Model is employed to illustrate the benefits resulted from Industrial Cluster.

Since the textile industry initiation in Taiwan in 1940, it has always been an important strategic industry, especially with the petrochemical industry background which has broad base and good quality; it satisfies the self-sufficiency demand of the upstream textile raw materials, and provides Taiwanese textile industry with robust international competitive advantage.

The objectives of the present study are twofold:
1. To investigate the advantages or inadequacies of current textile industrial cluster in terms of the the four factors of Diamond Model.
2. To explore the influences of regional advantages within cluster and company characteristics on competitiveness.

This study surveyed upstream, midstream and downstream companies of textile industry around Taoyuan County. Multiple Regression Analysis is conducted to analyze the influences of industrial cluster and company characteristics on competitiveness; the results are as follows:
1. The impacts of the production factors and demand factors of industrial cluster on customer responses are statistic significant. This implies that production factors for service quality and quantity can satisfy customers demand, and the characteristics of local customers also important factors for the enhancement of local industrial level.
2. Information communication shows very high significance both on innovative research and development as well as quality, it indicates that through the web sites or services of relevant institutions, companies can quickly catch textile information, and there is cross influence function on quality enhancement among them.
3. As for the significance of company age on innovative research and development, it indicates that, in terms of the staff as a whole, the younger the company the stronger viewpoint and incentive to innovative research and development.
4. The insignificance of network relationship on competitiveness may indicate that textile companies should enhance their positions on network relationship.
5. Finally, the insignificance on the competitiveness of operation cost, may imply that companies need to invest continuously by planning and procure more state-of-the-art textile machineries in order to facilitate production quality and quantity.
