摘要

電腦輔助群體工作是目前非常活躍的研究領域，它允許使用者藉由電腦的
輔助，與其他工作伙伴進行溝通與合作。研究顯示一般的經理人，平均每
天花費約1/4 ~3/4的時間在需要溝通與協調的群體決策上。而哈佛M. E.
Porter教授亦指出由於資訊與通訊的結合可縮短通路、加強連繫、即時服
務，並提昇企業的競爭情勢。因此群體軟體將是未來最有潛力的發展領域
。由於目前大部份的使用者介面設計之研究，都以單一使用者為對象，而
群體軟體因多人共同使用，彼此間的互動交流，均可能對使用者介面產生
影響，而群體關係複雜，對於使用者介面的開發人員實為一大挑戰。本論
文針對支援群體工作的群體軟體，提出一套發展群體使用者介面的模式-
PCM模式。此模式包含可展示群體使用者介面的展示 (presentation)、負
責溝通的對話(conversation)，及提供群體合作機能並可與應用程式相連
結的方法物件(method)。論文主要成果包括： 1.提出一可應用於群體軟
體使用者介面設計的邏輯架構--PCM模式。 2.以物件導向語言及Visual
Basic為發展工具，討論以PCM模式發展群體使用者介面的可行性。 3.一
個以PCM模式為例的會議工具發展方法。

Computer supported cooperative work is a very active research
area today. Group participants can communicate and discuss
with others by computer. According to research report, most
managers spend about 25% ~ 75% time on group coordination and
decision making. Professor M. E. Porter of Harvard also points
out that linking of information and communication will reduce
distance、enhance connection and offer better service.
Therefore, groupware has become a high potential application
area. Currently, most user interface focuses on single user
application. For groupware, the users cooperate with same
application. The interactions are more complicated than single
user application. It will be a great challenge to programmer.
This paper proposes a PCM model for group user interface
development. This model includes screen presentation、group
conversation and cooperation method components. Major results
include: 1. a PCM model . 2. methods of group user interface
developed using PCM model. 3. implementation of PCM model using
object oriented programming and Microsoft Visual Basic. 4. an
example of conference tool design uses the PCM model.
