男 性 老 年 與 子 女 互 動 關 係 之 研 究－以日據時代某高等教育學校為例

Interrelationships between Male Seniors and Their Children: A Case Study on the Male Seniors Educated in a High School during Japanese Occupied Period

摘要

處在二十一世紀的今天，人口結構逐漸邁向高齡化的腳步，伴隨著而來的則是人類各種的老化問題，而其中之一也是最為根本的問題，則是老年時期與子女的關係。而本研究針對受過日本教育的長者，在當時屬於高知識份子，從教育程度來看男性老年、家庭與子女互動關係，建構出男性老年與子女互動模式。本研究採質性研究中的深度訪談，訪談內容運用內容分析法做分析，共訪談十二位男性老年，平均年齡為73.4歲，十位有偶、二位喪偶。
　　從男性老年的教育程度，主要會影響其為經濟狀況、是否與子女同住等情形，另從男性老年與子女的互動關係結果，可分為三種類型：一、熱絡型：男性老年與子女互動上，是屬於平等關係時，他們和子女關係上也會較「親密」、「熱絡」；二、疏離型：男性老年與子女的互動，是上、下不對等關係時，他們和子女的關係也會較為「疏離」、「僵化」；三、不適應型：男性老年本身並沒有完全的老化成功，所以產生對環境變化的不適應感，進而影響他們與子女的互動關係。此外，男性老年在面臨喪偶時，大多會利用時間來轉移悲傷情緒調，及極積參與社會、加入志願服務工作。
　　本研究建議男性老年面臨喪偶的調適時，應積極的參與社會、加入志願服務工作；成年子女與男性老年在相處上，可採取家人團聚的方式；當老年的身心健康、經濟獨立，子女應適時提供關懷，同時，老年與子女居住空間上可維持一段適當距離，則能促進良好的親子關係。

Population ageing impacts on all aspects of the 21st century society. To construct a strategy for facing the challenges from ageing, this study probes into the interrelationship between male seniors and their children from the perspective of their education level. The approach of the study is based on in-depth interview of Qualitative research and content analysis of the interview. The interview covers 12 male seniors. Ten seniors are accompanied with their wives, and 2 are bereft of their spouses. The average age is 73.4 years old.
The education level of a male senior affects mainly his economic situation and if he lives with his children. After the analysis on the interrelationship between the male seniors and their children, the interactions can be divided into three kinds:
1. The tight relationship: A deeper intimacy may grow if the relations of a male senior and his children are on an equal basis. 2. The estranged relationship: It becomes rigid and remote if the relations are on an unequal basis. 3. The incompatible relationship: Because of unsuccessful aging, a male senior may feel incompatible with the environment. The feeling impacts on the relations with his children. In addition, when facing the lost of their spouses, most male seniors participate actively in the volunteer services.
The result of the study suggests that those who lost their spouses participate actively in the volunteer services. The study also suggests that family's reunion helps male seniors get along well with their adult children. A healthy and economically independent male senior also need concern from their children. On the other hand, maintaining a proper distance in living space can keep a good relation.
