地理資訊系統是發展迅速的一個跨學門新科技,舉凡需要涉及地理因子或空間資料的問題,都可以利用其輔助作業,更是決策支援上的重要工具。本研究希望藉由探討農田水利會工作站應用地理資訊系統的情形,分析工作站實際應用地理資訊系統後改善的工作狀況,瞭解地理資訊系統在農田水利工作站中管理實務上之應用。 本研究發現地理資訊系統在農田水利會工作站的主要應用方向有下列五點。一、地理資訊系統適合儲存含有空間資料屬性的傳統紙本資料。二、含有空間資料特性的人工作業,可使用地理資訊系統取代。三、地理資訊系統,可有效解決空間資料的搜尋問題。四、地理資訊系統利用圖層套疊分析,可做為決策輔助工具,評估地理空間之影響範圍。五、利用全球衛星定位系統與地理資訊系統的空間資料,可使現場資訊的獲取與使用更有效率。
Geographic information system (GIS) is an inter-disciplinary, fast- developing new technology which can assist in solving any question that involves geographical factors or spatial information, and can be an important tool for decision making. In this research, the geographic information system applications to the working stations of Irrigation Association were investigated. The management applications and improvement of efficiency at working stations after implementing GIS was analyzed. The major GIS applications to working stations of Irrigation Association found in this study including: 1. GIS is suitable for keeping and stocking data that in paper format traditionally; 2. GIS can replace the tasks involving spatial attribute information; 3. GIS can effectively solve the problem of spatial data search; 4. The overlay analysis in GIS can evaluate the affected area using spatial information and as a tool in decision-making; 5. The integration of Global Positioning System and GIS can improve the efficiency in field data acquirement.
