自1990年代開始全球興起了併購公司的熱潮之後,跨國性的內部合作與知識分享或移轉的議題廣泛的被討論,有很多研究在人與人互動的部份提出精湛的見解,但有超過50%的主併公司認為資訊系統或資訊科技在公司內部是不可或缺的一環(McKiernan and Merali 1995)卻顯少被提及,因此,本研究主要目的為透過企業的實務經驗,來探討企業使用知識分享平台來達到跨國性知識分享及互動的目的,來做深入的了解及探討。 本研究之研究方法是以一家IC設計產業作為個案研究。採用質化研究的個案訪談方式蒐集資料,藉由個案研究探討知識分享平台與跨國性企業內部的關係,目的在於了解建造知識分享平台對於跨國性企業會產生哪些主要的影響。 研究結果發現,某跨國性IC設計公司建造知識分享平台,無論是對企業本身或是對組織內部員工而言皆會產生許多正面的影響,透過內部管理措施、策略、IT政策等等,讓資訊的力量結合人才的知識來提升企業的績效。 本研究並於最後,依據所得之研究結論,對於企業以及未來相關議題有興趣之研究者提出架構與後續研究方向之建議。
The rise of Global M & A since the 1990s has prompted a plethora of papers on the transnational nature of post merger collaboration and knowledge sharing within the firm. Most of the studies attribute the post merger success or failure on culture interaction even though more than 50% of the acquiring firms believed that the integration of information systems or information technology is an integral part of post merger success (McKiernan and Merali 1995). Yet significantly fewer studies have ever taken this point of view. The purpose of this study is therefore, through author’s experience, to explore how knowledge may shared across national boundaries through a knowledge sharing platform. This study adopts the case study methodology on an IC design firm. Data is collected through in-depth interviews of IT personnel followed by a qualitative analysis on the relationship between knowledge sharing platform and knowledge transfer within the enterprise. This study further explores the impact of the construction of knowledge-sharing platform on cross-national knowledge sharing. It is found that a well constructed knowledge-sharing platform impact a multinational firm positively enterprise wise as well as among the staffs. The study also found that corporate performance is achieved not on the knowledge sharing platform alone but through the combination of sound internal management practices, corporate strategy, and IT policies and the talents of the individuals with the firm.
