This research mainly discusses the development of the YAMAHA MUSIC FOUNDATION in Japan from the music sociology perspective, and studies its teaching material content to understand the Japanese acceptance of western music. On the other hand, it also explores the mountain leaf music classroom’s influence on the social music culture after it is introduced to Taiwan. This will provide the non-western music country with a case of accepting the western music process.
