談台南･畫台南

摘　要　　在台灣的文化演變中，“城市”漸漸成為文化藝術界關注的一個焦點。都市化不僅被認為是一種現代化的符號，亦是一種新的人文機制和價值系統。但是，現代都市卻是一個充滿希望與矛盾，它帶給人們的常常是交織著回憶與冷漠的複雜情感。筆者出生於台南市，舊稱「府城」，它就是筆者的故鄉。從四十年代到當下，台南的現代化的過程，帶給筆者更多懷念過去故鄉的情感，因此藉由畫筆紀錄當下台南的歷史遺跡與自己熟悉的城市。本創作研究探討台南的時代背景及府城的傳統文化，並探討早期台灣知名的畫家廖繼春、郭柏川等，及國外畫家夏卡爾（Marc. Chagall, 1887~1985）、魏斯（Andraw. Wyegh, 1917~1996）等表現對故鄉情懷的藝術家，分析他們色彩的運用與配色、繪畫形式、物體與物體之間的呼應關係、及其創作理念。筆者以兩年碩士課程中所學習到的寫實、表現、抽象、半抽象等各種技法，透過寫生、照相並參考歷史資料，運用油彩、水彩及複合媒材在畫布及畫紙上來完成創作。筆者的創作分為五個系列：(一)古蹟系列；(二)街道系列；(三)廟會系列；(四)安平港系列；(五)公園、田野系列。研究時間範圍從荷鄭時期至今，並藉由繪畫的各種技法來表現於作品上。關鍵字：大台南、古蹟、廟會

Abstract “City” has been a focus among culture and art fields during the cultural progress in Taiwan. Urbanization has been concerned to be a symbol of civilization and a new mechanism of humanities and system of value. But a modern city always gives impression full of hopes and conflicts that results in peoples’remembership and emotionlessness. The author was born in Tainan, which was the old capital city of Taiwan. From 1940’s till now, the author have been emotionally affected by the modernization of Tainan. Therefore, the author would like to record the historical sites of my hometown and the whole city by painting. My artworks investigate the history backgrounds and cultures of Tainan by analyzing the early artists such as Chi-chun Liao (1902~1976), Po-chuan Kuo (1901~1974) etc., as well as westened painters like Marc. Chagall (1887~1985), Andrew. Wyegh (1917~1996). The author will discuss their painting styles, use of color and contrast, use of connection between different objects, and different ways to interpret their hometown in paintings. The author will also demonstrate his own interpretation of this historical city Tainan by using the painting techniques that he learned over the past two years of master in art course, which include Realism, Expression, Abstract, Semi-abstract paintings in watercolor, oil painting and multimedia from outdoor sketching, taking the photographs and referring the history of Tainan. There are five series of my works: (1)Historical Sites,(2)Streets, (3)Temple Festival,(4)An-Ping port, and (5) Parks and Rice fields. Time frame begins from Dutchand Kingdom of Tungning till the present. There are expressed in those paintings by different painting skills. Key words: Great Tainan, historical sites, temple festival
