本論文主要是在研究兒童小說《魔血》之中譯問題;兒童讀者與成人讀者在語言能力和認知能力上有很大的差距,因此譯者在翻譯兒童小說如果使用和翻譯成人小說一樣的策略,就容易發生問題。本論文利用實務經驗,結合翻譯與教育的理論,以對比分析的方式,找出譯文有問題的地方,並從中找出解決的辦法。本論文共分為五章,在第一章概述研究的動機、目的和研究方法。第二章介紹《魔血》的創作與翻譯,找出翻譯兒童小說須注意的地方。第三章從弗尼爾的翻譯目的論來看《魔血》的中譯。第四章為《魔血》的中譯研究及其發現,討論兒童小說的中譯問題,藉此找出導致譯出語讀者年齡層和譯入語讀者年齡層差異的原因及降低讀者年齡層差異的方法。第五章為結論,總結各章重點與發現,反省本論文不足之處,歸納提出從翻譯與研究中之心得,並提出建議之處。希望能藉由研究魔血之中譯問題,讓譯者對翻譯兒童文學讀物有更深的認識,並對譯者在處理兒童文學讀物的翻譯有所幫助。
The purpose of this thesis is to research the Chinese translation problems of children’s novel Monster Blood. Children’s reading ability and cognitive development are very different from those of adults. Therefore, if a translator of children literature applies the same translating strategy to study adult literature; the result will not be satisfied. The thesis aims at generalizing the practical translation experience, translation and education theories to find out and solve the problems in translating children's novel. The thesis is divided into five chapters. Chapter One explains the author’s research methods and her goals and motives. Chapter two introduces the creation and translation of Monster Blood. Chapter three studies the translation of Monster Blood by using Hans J. Vermeer’s Skopos theory. Chapter four discusses and interprets the findings in the Chinese translation of Monster Blood. Chapter five is conclusion, giving some thoughts and suggestions based on the thesis. It is hoped that the finding of the study can serve as reference for people who are interested in Children Literature and English-to-Chinese translation.
