應用行動代理者技術於分散式網路管理系統之研究

摘要


論文摘要 由於網路技術快速的發展,電腦網路的環境也變的越來越複雜。電腦網路在目前與未來的資訊系統中,扮演了一個非常重要的角色。而當電腦網路的重要性越來越高時,對於一個合適的網路管理系統的需求也越高。 網路管理人員要維持網路系統之運作正常,必須依賴網路管理系統,網路系統的環境越複雜,網路管理系統的重要性也越高。目前以主從式運算為架構的網路管理系統,受限於集中式的網路管理模型,缺乏彈性與效率。而使用單一主機的集中式網路管理系統,當網路的規模越來越大時,必須與大量的網路器材互相通訊,並對越來越大量的資料進行儲存與處理,導致大量的網路流量並降低網路的效能。 本研究應用行動代理者系統於網路管理中,行動代理者具有機動能力,能將自己從一個系統中經由網路傳送至另一個系統中自主的執行。以行動代理者系統架構出一個分散式網路管理系統的模型,可以改善目前主從集中式網路管理系統的缺點,並可提高網路管理系統的效率與可靠度,並降低網路流量之負擔。 目前在網際網路上,網路管理最常使用的是以TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) 通訊協定為主的SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol)網路管理協定,本研究亦以SNMP網路管理協定為主要研究對象。網路通訊協定用來在網際網路上交換資料與相互連結,網路管理協定則是網路管理系統管理網路通訊設備的基礎。 本研究提出應用行動代理者系統的分散式網路管理架構,可將集中式的網路管理工作,分散至被管理的網路連線設備所在處進行,可以減輕網路管理系統的工作負擔,提高系統的運作效能,也可以減少網路頻寬的佔用。

Abstract Due to the repaid development of network technology, the computer networks environment becomes more and more complexity. Computer networks are taking a very important role in present and future information systems. The increasing importance of computer networks has given rise to a high demand for adequate network management. In order to keep network operation running normally, the network managers must depend on the network management systems. When the environments of the network systems are more and more complexity, the network management systems become more and more important. Nevertheless, the present network management systems limited by centralized management paradigm are poor flexibility and efficiency which using Client-Server architecture. When the scale of the network grows, the single network management host has to communicate with a larger number of network devices, and to store and process an ever-increasing amount of data. This leads to high traffic load and reduce the network performance. In this paper we use the mobile agent system in the network management system. Mobile agents have the unique ability to transport themselves from one system in a network to another and operate autonomy. These improve both performance and reliability for network management system, and reduce network traffic In Internet environment, network management are typically designed according to TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) protocols and SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) protocols, we follow these protocols in this research. The TCP/IP protocols are used for the data exchange and communication within network nodes, SNMP protocols are the based for network management between network management system and network devices. In this paper, we propose the mobile agent based distributed network management framework. The MA-based NM framework can distribute some managing work from management station to network elements. Thus reduce the network traffic load and improve the system performance.
