環氧樹脂/蒙脫土奈米複合材料之製備與性質 之探討

摘要


有機/無機奈米複合材料是目前熱門的研究主題之一,主要是利用有機高分子以及無機物質(黏土或金屬)兩者之特性相乘而形成奈米複合材料(Nanocomposites)。而本研究主要即是利用撐開後的蒙脫土加入環氧樹脂中,進行開環反應,得到奈米複合材料。並利用FT-IR、XRD、TEM…等加以鑑定黏土在環氧樹脂中的分散情形。同時以DSC、TGA、DMA、TMA…等儀器測試其熱性質、機械性質。又因為分散在環氧樹脂材料中的黏土為層狀結構排列,使得水分通過的路徑更加蜿蜒,而能延長水分的通過的時間並有效降低吸水率。使其在封裝材料上的應用上具有潛力。

Organic-Inorganic hybrid materials are the materials that combining the characteristics from multiplicated speciality of the organic and inorganic moieties. A series of novel polymer-clay nanocomposite (PCN) encapsulation materials that consist of organic epoxy resin and inorganic nanolayers of montmorillonite clay were prepared through a thermal ring-opening polymerization. The as-synthesized materials were subsequently characterized by Fourier transformation infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, powder X-Ray diffraction (XRD) pattern and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Effects of the material composition on the thermal properties and mechanical strength of epoxy resin along with a series of PCN materials, in the form of membrane, were also studied by thermoravimetric analyses (TGA), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), dynamic mechanical analyzer (DMA) and thermal mechanical analyzer (TMA), respectively. Because of high aspect ratio and platy morphology of clay, we can introduce clay into epoxy to effectively increase the length of the diffusion pathways for water and oxygen as well as decrease the permeability of the bulk epoxy resin.
