Countries around the world have emphasized on the development of robotics industry, and the widespread applications of robotic technology become more and more important. Not only industrial robots widely used in factory and manufacturing, but the service usage especially the rescue robots increased drastically. Since the recent terrorist incidents and natural disasters have reinforced the assistance of rescue robots. For a terrorist incident or natural disaster, rescue robots can enter a calamity spot which is dangerous for humans to search and save victims, to provide emergency communications and to gather information. Additionally, rescue robots can be used for landmine detecting or any tasks in dangerous environment. This report presents a recent survey of robotics technology and development of industry, research and market in world, also presents the analysis of the component supply of rescue robots in Taiwan, Japan and China.
