摘要
「我不在咖啡館，就是在前往咖啡館的途中。」歐洲作家一語道盡咖啡館之於生活的緊密關係。隨著時代的轉換、咖啡館在台灣的普及，咖啡館已然成為人們交流聚會、放鬆身心的最佳場所，成為都市人生活中的一部分。 咖啡館在城市中相繼設立，其經營模式也愈趨多元，其中以藝文經營為取向的咖啡館在近年得到了很大的發展。藝文咖啡館不僅是台灣文學與藝術的搖籃，它們透過音樂、書籍、藝文展覽或表演的形式，提供了新興藝術家表現自我的機會；而每間咖啡館獨有的設計風格，也豐富了人們在咖啡館的體驗，拉近了人們與藝術的距離。 藝文咖啡館如今在全台各地皆有相當豐富的發展，但追溯台灣藝文咖啡館的起源，則是以台北地區為發展中心，加上政府對藝文的提倡、老舊空間的修繕與利用，台北開設了許多藝文相關的特色咖啡館。為此，本創作以台北市為範圍，挑選出八間獨具風格的咖啡館進行編排和介紹，介紹內容包括咖啡館的成立背景、室內裝潢風格、餐飲介紹、以及結語，透過與店家的談話，進而了解更多咖啡館背後的故事，轉化為文字，期望讀者能從中對咖啡館產生聯想；表現形式上，有感於紙本書籍逐漸式微的現象，本創作將以紙本書籍設計的方式呈現，期望透過書籍裝幀和編排，帶給讀者不一樣的閱讀經驗。

“Wenn der Altenberg nicht im Kaffeehaus ist, ist er am Weg dorthin” (German: If Altenberg is not in a café, he is on his way to a café. In few words, European writer Altenberg described close relationships between cafés and people’s lives. With each passing day and extensively spreading of café in Taiwan, cafés had become best places for meetings and relaxations that will finally be parts of urbanites’ lives. Cafés are being widely opened in central towns one by one, and their business models are becoming more and more diversified either. Among them, art cafés had developed successfully in recent years. Art cafés not only represent cradles of Taiwanese literatures and arts but also provide new artists opportunities to present themselves through various forms such as music, books, art exhibitions, and performances. The own designs and styles each café creates enriches people’s experiences in cafés and closers distances between people and arts. Art cafés now have great growths around areas in Taiwan. Yet if we traced back origins of art cafés in Taiwan, Taipei City was set as a developmental center; with government’s supports for art activities and good repairs and uses of old spaces, there are many art relevant stylish cafés opened in Taipei City. Therefore, this creation chose Taipei City as a main area and picked eight stylish cafés for special editions and introductions. Contents to introduce include setup backgrounds, styles of interior decorations, menus and conclusions. Through conversations with these stores we expect to know more stories behind each café and put them into words to bring fantasies about cafés to readers. Responding to weakening trends of paper books, this creation is presented as a designed paper book on its performance form. We expect to bring readers refreshing reading experiences by these designed bindings and editions.
