化學貿易業如何提升持續競爭優勢?- 以C公司為例

How Can Chemical Trading Industries Improve the Sustainable Competitive Advantage?-A Case Study of C Company

摘要


特用化學工業仍然是化學工業中最具活力的新興領域之一,也是新材料的重要組成部分。因為它的產品種類多、附加值高、用途廣、產業關聯度大,所以發展特用化學品工業己經成為各國調整化學工業結構、提升化學工業產業升級和擴大經濟效益的戰略重點。 近年來,由於全球景氣成長趨緩,美國頁岩油供應量充足,原油價格持續下滑等因素影響,據經濟部統計資料顯示104年1~10月化學材料產業產值為1兆4079億元,也較103年同期減少20.4%,這意味著特用化學品相關產業也會遭受衝擊與影響。 因化學貿易相關行業涵蓋面廣,所以造成國內中、小型貿易商林立,本研究的目的是希望探討國內特用化學品貿易業競爭優勢與關鍵因素,歸納出化學貿易業如何能持續創造價值與獲取競爭優勢的關鍵因素。 本研究係採取問卷調查方式,以特化品銷售與使用單位為調查對象,由專家提供其專業知能、經驗及意見,藉由德爾菲法(Delphi method)分析歸納出國內特用化學品貿易產業競爭因子並進行相對權重的分析判斷,利用重要度/績效值分析方法(Importance - Performance Analysis, IPA) 找出資源配置的優先順序,協助企業將有限的資源部署到最佳的位置。 研究結果顯示影響化學貿易業競爭優勢的八項關鍵準則依序為「財務結構」、「產品銷售權」、「後勤協調能力」、「行銷能力」、「研發能力」、「市場研究」、「服務品質」與「人力素質」。其中「財務結構」、「後勤協調能力」、「行銷能力」、「研發能力」、「服務品質」與「人力素質」這六個項目績效表現較佳,但是「市場研究」與「產品銷售權」這兩項指標的績效表現較差,這也是現階段需要改善項目。 本研究指出,影響化學貿易業競爭優勢的因素並非是一種單一的概念,而是由多因素相互作用構成的。因此,若只企業只針對單一因素進行改善,對競爭優勢或經營績效的提升都相當有限。

The specialty chemicals industry are still one of the most dynamic emerging areas in the chemical industry field, and play an important component of new materials. Because of its wide variety, higher added value, wide and highly associated with industrial application, the development of specialty chemicals sector has become the strategic focus of adjusting the chemical industry structure, enhance upgrading and expanding the economic benefits of chemicals industrial. In the last few years, due to the global economic slowdown, the plenty supply of shale oil in US, and crude oil prices drop down sharply. According to these factors which means that special chemical-related industries will suffer the impact, The Ministry Of Economic Affairs, the output value of the chemical materials industry was NT $ 1047.9 billion in the first ten months in 2004, showing 20.4% of decreasing comparing with the same period of 2003. The purpose of this study is trying to explore the competitive advantages and key factors of the specialty chemicals trading Industries, and to conclude how the business can be continually to create value, and develop the key factors of sustainable competitive advantages. The study conducted a questionnaire survey and designed to cover the sales unit of trading company and special chemical products users. The expert knowledge, experience and opinions were provided by experts. Delphi method was used to analyze the domestic specialty chemicals trade industry. Competitive factors and relative weight analysis, the Importance - Performance Analysis (IPA) method is used to find out the priority of resource allocation and help enterprises to deploy the limited resources to the best position. The results showed that the eight key criteria affecting the competitive advantage of the chemical trading industries were "Financial structure", " Exclusive right of sale ", "Logistics and coordination capability", "Marketing capability", "R & D capability", "Marketing research", “Quality of service", and "Competence level of manpower". The performance of the six creteria - "Financial structure", "Logistics and coordination capability", "Marketing capability", "R & D capability", "Quality of Service" and " Competence level of manpower" were better, but the performance of "Marketing Research" and " Exclusive right of sale " still need to be improved. This study points out that the factors of influence the competitive advantage of the chemical trading industries are not a single concept but a multi-factor interaction. Therefore, if the enterprise only improvement single factor for the competitive advantage, the performance of improvement are quite limited.
