國小部編本國語教科書版面編排發展之研究

A Study of Layout of National-Edition Textbook in Primary School

摘要


自四十二學年度採用部編本之始,至九十一學年度全面改行審定本為止,部編本教科書共採行長達五十餘年。在此期間,教科書除歷經多次課程標準的修訂與教育法規的變遷外,排版技術亦有大幅改進。本研究主要以「文獻調查法」為主軸,「專家訪談法」為輔助,並以現代的版面編排評價原則,實際檢測教科書樣本。研究中共分為兩個階段進行,第一階段的主要工作為逐年紀錄教科書版面編排要素的改變,從字形、字級、字距與行距、排列方式的變化,了解其發展,並歸納出教科書版面編排發展的分期;第二階段則是根據階段一的結論,取出各時期的教科書樣本,逐課分析記錄其版面率、圖版率、跳躍率、拘束率等視覺構成要素,以得知其版面編排視覺構成的發展,並探究其形成原因。 根據本研究結果,可將部編本教科書分為八個時期。整體而言,越至後期,其文字編排與版面編排的發展越趨一致,字形也逐漸形式化,使閱讀更為流暢。且因法規與印刷等社會環境的影響,導致細膩美觀的視覺呈現,版面設計的變化組合也更加豐富自由。

From School Year 1952 to 2002, national-edition textbooks were adapted for around fifty years before diversifying the production of textbooks. During these years, national-edition textbooks went through many changes in curricula standards and revision of education regulations, as well as significant improvement in composing. To discuss on improvement of national-edition textbook composing, the data in this study mainly draws on documentary analysis, assisting with interview, to compare national-edition textbook samples with theories of contemporary layout composing evaluation. In shorts, this study is progressing in two stages. At the first stage, identifying the changes of national-edition textbooks layout from fonts, character sizes, inter-character space, inter-line space and plate in different years, it distinguishes the stages of development for national-edition textbook layout editing and design. Based on the assumption, the study goes in depth by analyzing elements of vision and composition from the sample pages: ratio of layout, ratio of plate, jump rate and constraint rate in details. Moreover, a discussion on how these differences were created follows. Concluded from this study, eight phases of national-edition textbooks could be distinguished. As the time went by, word editing and layout composing in national-edition textbooks came to be concordance and the fonts were standardized. This improvement contributes to the smooth flow of reading. To sum up, by the influence of social changes and printing technology development, the composition of textbook layout pursuits the subtleness of visionalization and diversifies in design.
