摘要

新竹市保護動物協會成立於1997年，早期以犬貓收容和救援為主，但協會因應環境需求的改變以及人力、空間、經費的問題，目前轉型推廣動物保護教育為主，根據不同的年齡層舉辦各種多元主題的校園講座、志工活動等。協會現有網站在2003年建立，以類似論壇的形式組成，經過十多年發展後，網站內容多達上千筆使用者無法輕易地從中取得資訊，且不符合目前的發展方向故而決定建立新網站；新網站目標是汰除原有網站中過時的資料，並將資料與協會現有資料整理後，透過設計有系統的建立新網站。
首先透過文獻資料整理，了解協會發展與工作現況；透過資料蒐集了解網站創作流程、目前發展的趨勢以及未來發展方向，參考國內外案例了解其互動方式及網站架構作為創作依據。

在創作部分將協會提供的資料整理後確認網站的目標族群，並與協會負責人進行溝通了解網站希望的風格；所有內容分成活動訊息、教育、志工、幫助我們等六個部分，利用視覺設計使每頁畫面具有連貫性，並透過視覺元素讓網站看起來舒適美觀，期望使用者在使用網站時可以輕易的使用網站。
創作過程中發現，目前台灣有許多動保團體網站，但網站中的內容眾多且複雜，有些頁面間甚至不具有相關性，若 是能將內容適當的安排使用者在使用網站時則更加流暢且舒適；目前本創作只針對網站設計的部分，但由於科技的進步使用行動裝置上網的使用者日益增加，因此建議協會未來能夠建立行動裝置的網站，以符合未來發展。

Society for Animal Welfare of Hsinchu (SAWH) was established in 1997. In the early stage, SAWH mainly focused on stray rescuing and caring; however, due to several issues such as the change of the environmental demands, the shortage in human force, in funds, and in space, SAWH has now transformed to emphasize propagating and educating the knowledge of animal protection. In order to achieve their goals, in accordance with the differences of age range, they would hold diverse themes in school seminars, volunteering activities, and so forth. In 2003, the web that SAWH using was founded and it is similar to internet forum.

More than a decade past, SAWH has decided to establish a new website owing to two reasons. First, the web is still user-unfriendly even though there is thousands of information in the forum. Second, the web is not appropriate for the current developing direction. And the goal of the new website is to eliminate the data that are too out-of-date and to integrate the old data with the new ones as well as designing a systematic website.

There are several considerations served as my references for creating the website. First, through researching references, I understand the development of SAWH and its’ working circumstances. Then, through collecting data, I understand the procedures for creating an internet website, the current trend for the website developing and the future direction for the website development. Moreover, I have referred to the examples in the domestic as well as foreign areas and understand the ways of interactions and the website structures.

For creating the website, I would make sure the targeted groups for the website by organizing the data being provided by the SAWH and communicate with the superintendent of the SAWH in order to understand their demands for the website style. The website information is composed of six parts, such as activities and news, education, volunteering, help us, and so on. Furthermore, with the expectation to have a user-friendly website, I use the visual designing to make every page consistent and through the visual elements to make the website comfortable and beautiful when the users are browsing.

From the process of creating the website, I discover that even though there are many animal care association websites, the information that provided is overloaded and complicated; what’s more, there are some web pages are even irrelevant to each other. If with the appropriation of the information and arrangement, the users would feel more comfortable and with ease when visiting the website. For now, my work only focused on the website designing. However, with the advance of technology, mobile device users are increasing greatly; hence, I would suggest SAWH would establish website for mobile devices in the future development.
