國際學生海外工作傾向影響因素之研究

Influencing Factors of International Students' Intention to Work Abroad

摘要


由於全球化和無邊界環境,全球業務一直在快速增長。這導致對新人才的需求 增加,並促使人們為尋求更好的職業和生活機會而流動。這些國際人才需要面對並適 應新環境中的生理和心理障礙,其中包含國際學生。國際學生擁有學習期間獲得的技 能,知識和經驗,但是在學術及實務界卻較少重視他們。過去的研究更加重視僑民作 為國際人力資源之來源,因此本研究將針對國際學生以及影響他們決定出國工作的因 素,以便對此議題有所瞭解及給予建議。 本研究提出自我效能、家庭關係連結、社會文化適應和國際經驗這四個變數, 透過定量分析方法來確定其對海外工作傾向之影響。問卷發放給在台灣大學就讀之國 際學生,最後收集 110 份樣本進行統計分析。研究結果顯示:自我效能與海外工作傾 向呈現正向影響、家庭聯繫與海外工作傾向呈現負向影響。然而,社會文化適應之生 存適應與海外工作傾向沒有關係,學業適應及人際適應與海外工作傾向呈現正向影響。 最後先前國際旅行經驗之旅行次數與海外工作傾向呈現正向影響。

The global businesses have been growing rapidly due to globalization and boundaryless environment. This results in increasing demand for new talents and causing people’s mobility in search for better career and life opportunities. These talents are required to face and adapt to physical and psychological barriers in the new environment and international students are one of the possible candidates. International students have the skills, knowledge and experience that they achieved during their study but there are less recognition towards them. Past studies are more focused on expatriate as the source of talent, therefore this study will examine on international students and the factor influencing their decisions to work abroad so that it could be appreciated and implied. Four independent variables namely self-efficacy, family ties, socio-cultural adjustment and international experience are examined to determine the influence by using quantitative method. Questionnaires were distributed to international students in Taiwan university and 110 answers are collected and analyzed. In conclusion, the result shows that self-efficacy is positively correlated and Family ties is negatively correlated which support the proposed hypotheses. 3 factors in socio-cultural were not fully corresponding with the hypotheses, survival factor of socio cultural adaptation shows insignificant correlation while academic and interpersonal adaptation show a positively significant relationship. Lastly, previous international travel experience result shows that the number of travel is positively significant.
