添加助濾劑於薄膜精緻植物油程序

Application of Ultrafiltration Membrane with Filter Aid for oil Refining

摘要


本實驗目的在於利用薄膜技術取代傳統脫膠方式純化植物油,並且應用於植物油脫脂、脫色、去除臭味及游離脂肪酸等,但在分離過程中發現有通量下降的問題,過去的文獻並沒有針對此問題做進一步探討,在此研究中,利用薄膜PTFE(0.2μm)、濾紙(1μm)精緻玉米油,在油中個別添加矽藻土(10μm、77μm)及活性黏土(250-420μm),其百分比為0.5 wt%、1wt%,與原先未添加矽藻土之結果做比較,發現遞減速度較慢,而以添加矽藻土(77μm)對改善通量遞減情形效果佳,比較添加及未添加矽藻土於精緻植物油,通量與時間關係,結果顯示,矽藻土對於吸附油中的磷脂效果佳,若要知道去除量為何,可用HPLC測量磷脂含量,事實上,在油中添加75%的正己烷(n-hexane),這是一般工業上常見溶劑萃取後的比例,不但降低黏度也提升通量,本研究也將一併探討。

The purpose of this research was to study the use of filter aid together with membrane technology to refine vegetable oil. Phospholipids are to be removed by mixing vegetable oil with the filter aid followed by membrane filtration. In this method, it is also possible to remove some color pigments﹐odor compounds, free fatty acids, wax and oxidation products . There are few research in the past regarding the application of filter aid in membrane filtration to solve the common problem of rapid flux decline. In our laboratory experiments, we added n-hexane into corn oil (3 to 1 ratio) to reduce the viscosity and we observed that the filtration flux of this miscella was higher. PTFE membrane (0.2 μm) and filter paper (1 μm) were selected to study the refining of miscella. We added 0.5 wt% and 1 wt% of Dicalite (10 μm and 77 μm) and activated clay (250-420 μm) in separate experiments. The membrane permeate flux with filter aid was compared with results without filter aid. We found the flux decline was slower when filter aid was used together with filter paper. The best results were obtained by adding Dicalite (77μm) into miscella with a stable flux up to 4 minutes. We compared the results with and without Dicalite, and it is was found that addition of the filter aid was good for adsorption of phospholipids. In order to determine retention, HPLC can be used to check the concentration of phospholipids, but we found that recovery of low levels of phospholipids from oil to prepare the analyte sample for HPLC still need further study.
