親子關係為青少年最重要的社會關係之一。過去曾有研究指出,同理心訓練對親子關係適應的影響,但在時代變化快速的今日,仍有檢驗兩者關係穩定性之必要。然而,具有同理心為何可提升親子關係滿意度?研究者推論,青少年在同理父母的過程中,若能辨識出父母對自己的貢獻,將所得恩惠歸因於父母的付出,進而對父母產生感恩心,將能提升親子關係滿意度。據此研究者也假設感恩在青少年同理心與親子關係滿意度之間具有中介效果。本研究採問卷調查法,參與者為212位新北市某高中及某高級職業學校學生,依序填寫親子關係滿意度量表、感恩心量表、人際反應指標及社會讚許量表。本研究除了以相關分析檢視同理心、感恩心與親子關係滿意度之間的關係,也進一步以多元迴歸分析檢驗感恩心在同理心與親子關係滿意度之間的中介效果。相關分析的結果顯示,同理心、感恩心以及親子關係滿意度彼此間均具有顯著的正相關。多元迴歸分析的結果則進一步顯示,感恩心確實可以中介同理心與親子關係滿意度之間的關係。本研究結果支持感恩心在同理心與親子關係滿意度之間所扮演的中介作用,可以作為提升親子關係滿意度的重要參考。
Parent-child relationship is one of the most important social relationships among adolescent. Past research had showed that empathy training was related to parent-child relationship adjustment. However, how empathy improves the parent-child relationship satisfaction has never been investigated. We hypothesized that gratitude mediates the relationship between empathy and parent-child relationship. To test the possibility, 212 senior high school students completed questionnaires that measure parent-child relationship satisfaction, gratitude, empathy and social desirability. The result showed that empathy, gratitude and parent-child relationship are positively correlated. In addition, the results of multiple regression showed that gratitude mediates the relationship between empathy and parent-child relationship. This finding support that gratitude play a crucial role in the relationship between empathy and parent-child relationship.
