商業設計組織導入知識及管理的關鍵因素研究

摘要


現今的商業設計領域,面對新科技的浪潮,不僅是在生產與製造面向,更需要不同專業領域的整合。設計組織的管理挑戰源自於設計知識中有很多是個人的內隱知識,高度仰賴個人的經驗的累積與知識傳承,面對新科技的日益月新的快速變化,設計師的養成有緩不濟急的情況。在設計組織中施行知識管理,與其他專業的知識管理最大的差異在於資料的結構及型態,以及設計人才的背景及特質的不同;然而在商業設計組織中的知識管理研究卻十分有限,少有從組織及成員「人」的角度探討。商業設計組織多為中小規模,商業設計組織挑戰是在有限的資源下,如何有效地管理商業設計組織的設計知識,形成為組織的資產及組織的競爭優勢,進一步讓組織成長及獲利。 創意經濟及知識管理已從上世紀末發展至今,在許多成功、創新的企業在此領域有不同面向的觀點,行之有年且成果豐碩,可作為商業設計組織導入知識及管理的基礎。本研究透過德爾菲和DANP 法,獲得商業設計組織知識管理的關鍵因素之間的因果關係圖,實證研究顯示,商業設計組織中「領導力」、「策略」是帶動設計組織知識管理的源頭,可有效帶動其他因素;進一步得知,不同職務的設計管理者與資深設計師所認為的關鍵因素也有些微的差異,這項研究結果,也影響組織推動商業設計組織導入知識管理的方法。此研究結果供設計產業及其他新興產業在實務操作時有所依據,可在多變的創意經濟的趨勢中站穩腳步並永續經營。

Facing the wave of new technology, today's commercial design fieldis not only production and manufacturing-oriented, but also need to integrate different areas of expertise. Most challenges in the knowledge management of design organizations come from a high proportion of inherit personal design knowledge that is difficult to exchange. As design requires interdisciplinary knowledge,personal accumulation and dissemination of knowledge are crucial. Compared to rapid advancement of new technologies, designer cultivation is somewhat slow. Although knowledge management in the design industry is similar to that of other professions, the biggest differences include the structure and format of design data and the background and traits of designers. However, studies of knowledge management within commercial design organizations are limited. Most studies are revolved around design knowledge platform and storage mechanism and rarely focus on human factor which is the basic part in design organization. As most design organizers are MSMEs, how to turn personal design knowledge into organizational assets and competitiveness advantages for long-term growth and profit through effective knowledge management with limited resources is the major challenge. The creative economy and knowledge management have been well developed and included many points of view from difference areas and successful organizations. Through the literature review, this study investigates factors affecting knowledge management in design organizations. A relational chart of the key factors affecting knowledge management in commercial design organizations is produced with the Delphi method and DEMATEL based ANP (DANP). This study found that “Leadership” and “Strategy” are the key factors and also the sources of knowledge management in commercial design organizations. They can effectively and systematically drive other key factors. In addition, position of design manager and senior design have subtle difference on key factors importing knowledge and management into organizations. These research findings can be served as a reference for the knowledge management practice of design organizations and new business fields to maintain steady growth and pursue sustainable development in the changeful creative economy.
