This research aims to explore female members’ perspectives. It explores the learning process, growth, and changes experienced by female members in their participation in the storytelling association and interactions with other members. I hope that through research, the following goals will be achieved: 1.Understand the motivation and continuing motivation of female volunteers to participate in the storytelling association. 2.Analyze the experience gained by female volunteers via the learning and service processes. 3.Explore the continued participation of female volunteers in the storytelling association, and the support and assistance provided by the association and members. 4.Understand the growth experience of female volunteers participating in the storytelling association. This study adopts semi-structured qualitative interviews, document analysis, and participating observation methods as the main data collection methods. In order to observe women’s experiences in personal and environmental contexts, this study intends to take the Taichung Story Association, which has been established for 20 years, as a case study. The interviewees are recommended by the director of the Taichung Story Association. These candidates have had in-depth participation and can provide rich information. Six interviewees are selected who are valid members and have the association lecturer status. They have participated in the Taichung Story Association’s learning and services for a period of 15 to 20 years, and their age ranged from 50 to 62 years old. After analyzing their interview data, documents and participating observation records, The main conclusions obtained are as follows: 1.The motivations for female volunteers to participate in storytelling clubs are divided into: self-interested personal willingness, altruistic motivation to serve and contribute to society, and social factors influenced by relatives and friends. In the process of continuous participation, the multi-party positive feedback and mutual benefit, and participation in the community culture constitute the motivation to continue participating. 2.After participating in the story-telling knowledge training course of the association, female volunteers continue to accept the diversified empowerment learning courses organized by the association internally, and also participate in other self-enhancement learning courses externally. 3.Using the diversified service fields provided by the storytelling association, female volunteers apply the knowledge and skills learned in training and practical situations to form a personal service experience. The service involved is not just storytelling. Female volunteers also accumulate different service experiences by taking on the responsibilities of the community and participating in drama services. 4.In the process of continuing to participate in the storytelling association, the learning environment and culture provided by the association make the participation experience of female volunteers more diverse. The sharing of societal experience and information among members, discussion and dialogue between partners, and support among sisterhood provide a sense of satisfaction and belonging. 5.The continued participation results in participating in practical experience in knowledge activities, and feedback experience from service targets. Candidates also draw different inspirations from the story material, and combine the personal multi-faceted experience to form new concepts via reflection and integration. They are practiced in new situations. 6.In the process of continuing to participate in the storytelling association, female volunteers have received positive feedback from both individuals and family members, and thus form a mutually beneficial relationship in which life affects life. Finally, based on the above research results, this research puts forward specific recommendations for female volunteers, the association, and future related research.
