The quality of higher education lies on university faculty, and the quality of university faculty is associated with faculty job satisfaction. This study categorized university faculty by academic disciplines of social science, literature, and technology, and investigates their job satisfaction regarding aspects of teaching, research, and service. The results showed that: 1. University faculty, across disciplines, allocated most time on teaching, then on research, and finally on service. 2. Academic disciplines had no significant effect on job satisfaction of university faculty. 3. Gender, position level, university type, and administration system significantly affected job satisfaction of university faculty. In particular, administration system showed substantial effects on university faculty job satisfaction. The results of the study provide references to higher education institutes to enhance faculty job satisfaction and quality of higher education.
