The purpose of this study is to explore the learning motivation and learning needs of Japanese learners in shuishalian area. According to the relevant literature quotation and induction, a total of 120 questionnaires were sent out and 120 valid ones were retrieved with effective recovery of 100%. Samples were analyzed with STATA 14.0 and the cause and regression model were examined. The results show that: (1) Women aged 26-35 who work in the service industry in shuishalian area are the most engaged in Japanese learning; (2) The main survey result of Japanese learning motivation is for the convenience during the time to Japan; (3) The main targets of the Japanese learning needs for the learners are to have sightseeing, fluent communication skills, and independent travels in Japan. At last, based on the research results, the management implications and practical suggestions have been put forward, which that can be used as the reference for the future development of Japanese in shuishalian area.
