大學圖書館行動服務需求之研究

摘要


行動科技的發展與進步讓資訊傳遞變得更加方便與迅速,即使在移動時也能透過手上的行動載具來獲取資訊。圖書館服務隨著時代改變而成長,大學圖書館提供行動服已經是必然的趨勢。本研究在這樣的基礎之下展開,主要目的在探討以手機進行大學圖書館行動服務的需求,並以國立臺灣師範大學大學部學生為研究對象。依據文獻探討,採用研究者自編之「大學圖書館行動服務需求之研究」調查問卷為研究工具,進行調查,期待藉由研究的進行,能提供大學圖書館實施行動服務時的參考與依據。   研究結果發現,目前國內大學圖書館提供之行動服務,包含有圖書館行動網站和行動OPACs、行動化圖書館利用指導、圖書館簡訊通知、行動館藏、SMS參考服務等;大學圖書館提供行動服務時,大學生想要以何種行動載具使用該服務,其中以「筆記型電腦」(266人)最高,其次為「手機」(206人);關於親自到圖書館動機與使用圖書館網站動機,最高人次選項為查詢資料、借閱資料、查詢個人借閱記錄。而就大學圖書館行動服務之各層面需求來看,分別在「個人服務」與「館藏查詢」層面之需求度最高。從親自到圖書館與使用圖書館網站動機方面,以及行動服務需求調查結果顯示,大學生在「個人服務」(借閱資料、查詢個人借閱記錄)與「館藏查詢」(查詢資料)上需求較高。關於「其他」建議部分,顯示目前使用行動服務的「價格」影響大學生使用意願。   大學圖書館在提供行動服務時,可將使用需求與價格兩個因素,做完整評估與衡量,設計符合使用者需求的行動服務。

The development and evolution of mobile technology enable information delivery to be faster and more convenient today, and people can obtain information through mobile devices at hand when they move. Library services also develop with time changes, and hence it has already become a necessary trend for university libraries to provide mobile services. This study was conducted under this context, and its main purpose was to investigate the needs to provide mobile services from university libraries by mobile phone, and the subjects were the undergraduates of National Taiwan Normal University. According to literature review, the researcher used a self-made questionnaire “A Study on Demand for Mobile services by University Libraries” to be the research tool and do a survey expecting to offer references and basis for university libraries when providing mobile services through the results of this study.   From the results of this study, it was discovered that mobile services provided by domestic university libraries included mobile library websites and MOPACs (Mobile OPACs), mobile library instruction, library SMS notifications, mobile collections, and SMS reference etc.; as for providing mobile services by university libraries, most undergraduates wanted to use “laptop” (266) and then “mobile phone” (206) to use them. As for the motivation to go to libraries personally and use library websites, and items with the high score include inquiring data, loaning data, and inquiring personal loan record data; as for needs of mobile services provided by university libraries, “personal services” and “collection inquiry” were the most needed items. From the motivation to go to libraries personally and use library websites and needs of mobile services, the survey results showed that undergraduates needed “personal service” (loaning data, inquiring personal loan record) and “collection inquiry” (inquiring data) the most. As for “other” suggestion, the results showed that the “price” would affect their willingness to use the mobile services currently.   When university libraries are going to provide mobile services in the future, they can do a complete evaluation and weighing on the factors of need and price and then design mobile services which will satisfy users’ needs.
