迪士尼動畫電影配音翻譯歐化現象研究

A Study of Europeanized Chinese in the Dubbed Versions of Disney’s Animation Movies

摘要

動畫電影在國內上映時，有二種版本可供觀眾選擇：原音版與中文配音版。配音版顯然是為了服務兒童觀眾，然而翻譯品質如何有待商榷。本文即以迪士尼動畫電影配音翻譯為研究對象，探討譯文品質。初步發現配音翻譯普遍出現直譯的歐化對白，於是進一步選出《海底總動員》、《超人特攻隊》、《料理鼠王》等三部片深入研究，分別從詞彙、詞法、句法三方面討論歐化現象。詞彙主要討論「定譯」問題；詞法分詞尾、詞類二大項討論；句法分為四項：不必要的句子成分、句子結構不自然、特殊句式使用不當、加入多餘字詞標示英文時態。結果發現三部片的配音翻譯歐化情況嚴重，尤以詞彙、詞法為最。歐化譯文不只造成對白「洋腔洋調」，也導致其他問題，包括不夠口語、缺乏變化、語意不清、角色語氣未能突顯、兒童觀眾不易理解等。

There are two versions of animation movies released in Taiwan: one with the original soundtrack and subtitles and the other with Chinese dubbing, which is for children. So far, the translations in the dubbed versions are rarely examined and their quality is unknown. The thesis, taking Disney’s animation movies for example, is to review the translations in the Chinese dubbed versions. According to the researcher’s preliminary reviews, the phenomenon of Europeanized Chinese is quite common in the dubbed versions. Three of Disney’s animation movies are chosen to serve as case studies for further research, and they are Finding Nemo, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille. Each case study is divided into three parts. The first part examines vocabulary with word-to-word translation; the second part indicators of Europeanized Chinese in morphology. The final part focuses on indicators of Europeanized Chinese in syntax. The result reveals that each dubbed version is inundated with instances of Europeanization and most of them are seen in vocabulary and morphology. Europeanized Chinese results in translationese and various problems such as unnatural speech, lack of variation in wording, unclear expressions, mismatching tones of speaking, and difficult expressions to children.
