Original Chinese Musical 《No Day But Today》 A Creative Report on Stage Design Work

摘要

舞台設計傳達的是劇本意念的轉換與重新解構再組合，創造視覺空間及象徵意義，舞台設計在戲劇的表現手法裡，包含兩種空間，一種是演員表演的空間，另外則是觀眾所相信的空間，演員將劇情意念傳達給觀眾，而舞台設計的重要任務就是創造空間幻覺傳達情感。
原創音樂劇《蛻變》中描寫在師大念書的學子們面對畢業的心路歷程，本文將以虛擬及象徵式的風格設計方向作為如何轉換室內及室外場景進行創作，並將寫實劇情轉換成音樂劇形式所需要的空間功能性思考及觀看方式的訴求並加入現有空間的利用及轉換再現，經由表演者-舞台空間-觀眾的互動建立起空間再塑與再現可能性並以舞台設計流程方法論述。

The main function of set design is to re-interpret and reform the concept of
the script, and create the visual space and symbolic meaning for the play. There are two kinds of space when dealing with dramatic event, one is the space for acting, the other one is for the audience to believe; actors present the story to the audience, and the most important duty for the set design is to create the illusion of the space and enhance the dramatic effect.
The original musical play describes students of Taiwan Normal University facinggraduation and chang, this fictitional play symbolizes design direction regarding the change in indoor and outdoor scenes, realistic musical play story shows a way to think functionally about the space. It converts and reproduces the existing space. Through the interaction of performer and stage space and audiences establishment to create the space again in any possibility. It will discuss the topic with stage design process method.
