美式復古風格應用於海報設計之創作研究

摘要


美式復古設計是現今消費市場上一股具潛力的潮流文化,它以舊有的元素傳達新的概念,並形成獨立的風格樣貌,受大眾喜愛;而復古的設計內涵來自於歷史文化淵流以及心理懷舊的概念,顯示出的風格特徵會依不同的時空背景,而顯得多元與多變;藉由許多研究復古設計之學者的建議,本研究以美式復古風格做為研究主體,對於復古風格的內涵及價值進行探討與驗證,也針對美式復古風格的特徵做分析及統整,以提供設計創作之參考。 本研究屬創作論文,以文獻探討法、分析歸納法、案例分析法、獨立創作法做為研究方法之基礎;透過文獻探討統整美式復古風格的涵義及內容,再分析出美式復古風格的表現手法與特徵並加以歸類出下列樣式:(1) 大眾文化與普普藝術 (2) 未來主義 (3) 工藝復古 (4) 極簡風格 (5) 流線型風格 (6) 時尚復古 (7)拼貼藝術 (8) 裝飾藝術 (9) 街頭塗鴉風格 (10) 老式廣告 (11) 美式鄉村風格;依循各風格樣式的案例,進行設計脈絡、意涵及內容、特徵及表現的案例分析探討,最後設定創作主題,運用風格的特徵創作海報作品。 美式復古風格以美國文化之集體懷舊層面為主軸,重點在於大眾文化的內容、愛國情操的表現、時代產物的象徵、親切溫暖的生活感、樂觀進取的態度;美式復古風格適合運用在平面廣告、產品造形、服裝飾品、宣傳媒體等大眾文化產業中,在風格的表現下,形成了足以代表流行、時尚、個人品味的潮流文化,也帶給人們平易近人

American Retro Style has shown increasing potential in today’s fashion culture. It combines the past and the present, and creates a unique and brand new concept in fashion world that is very well received. Inspirations of the design are derived from a deep-rooted historical culture and sentimentalism, which features style characteristics of different eras and make the result in variety and diversity. This research was focused on American Retro Style. The decision was made by careful consideration to the suggestions from other researchers. The objective of the research was to discuss and validate the significance and value of American Retro Style, and also to analyse and integrate its style and features for future design references. This research is for creative thesis, using literature review method, Inductive Method,case analysis method and Independent creation method as the basis of the research methods. Through the analysis, the characteristics of American Retro style could be classified into 11 styles, such as: (1)Pop Art (2)Futurism (3) (4)Minimalism (5)Streamlining (6)Retro Fashion (7)Collage (8)Deco Art (9)Street Graffiti (10) Vintage Advertising (11)American cottage. The main demand of the design will be how to demonstrate the style as well as visual characteristic in poster design, and using this design process as a method for in depth research in a specific kind of American Retro Style. The core of American Retro Style is the nostalgia of American, which includes pop culture, patriotic spirit, symbol of generation, lifestyle and optimism. It is suitable in cultural industries, such as print advertising, product imaging, clothing and decorations…etc. American Retro Style has become a trend of fashion and easy accepted by the majority.
