Abstract Among the numerous study channels, study groups can be regarded as one of the best and economical and practical ways of an individual al l the life during the era of advocating lifetime learning. The leader of the study group who interacts with the members the deepest can play a great role between group study members to condense common understanding and to promote their centripetal force among one another. Although all members within the study group are equal, it is she or he that is the soul personage of the group. The main purpose of the research is to construct the indicators of the leading knowledge and capacity of the study group leader; and to cultivate and aim at the leading knowledge and capacity of the leader of the study group whose cognition degree and investigation of the demands to propose a plan and suggestion of the training courses in order to be as a reference of fostering the leaders of the study groups. For reaching this research purpose, firstly, the research collects the contents of the specific leading knowledge and capacity of the study group leader and the adult educator through the document review as the argument of the study group leader and as the basis of compiling and revising questionnaire of Delphi. Then, construct the indicators of the contents of the leading knowledge and capacity of the study group leader. And then, based on the process of Delphi to compile the formal questionnaire and use the investigation method of the questionnaire aiming at the trainees of the beginning training course instructed under the study group leader over the years in Taipei Home Education Center. Then, continue the investigation of their important assessment of the leading knowledge and capacity and their willing of advanced study. Finally, sum up the analysis results and put forward the suggestions as follows: I. Summing up the Results of the Investigation, Give the Conclusions and Findings: 1. The contents of the leading knowledge and capacity of the study group leader include three dimensions of the leading knowledge and capacity: the knowledge of the theory, the basic skill, and the attitude ability to control oneself. And there are 15 sub-items of the knowledge and capacity and 70 of the basic contents of the knowledge and capacity under them. 2. The important assessment of the leading knowledge and capacity of the study group leader, the importance of the three dimensions of the leading knowledge and capacity as a whole, the specialists of Delphi consider that the attitude ability to control oneself is the most important among the three, the basic skill after that, then the knowledge of the theory the last. Most attendants at the basic level of the study group agree with the same view. II. According to the above Conclusions, the Researcher Propose the Suggestions as follows: 1. This research range is focused on the study group in Home Education Center and adult study group. The research range of future can expand to the general study group in daily life. For instance, family study group, or community study group etc., then the conclusion will be more representative. 2. In the future research, the subjects may include the ethnicity, for instance, of teenagers, children etc in human development in order to construct the “indicators of the leading knowledge and capacity of the study group leader" to accord with general masses to learn. 3. The research only chooses Taipei Home Education Centre as a research institution exclusive of other home education centers or other study group training institution. The research range of future can expand to the same study group, and then the conclusion will be more representative. 4. The indicators of the leading knowledge and capacity of the study group leader constructed in this research which functions are: (1) It can offer a reference of the nowadays study group while popularizing the institution in the domestic and evaluate the study group leader of their leading knowledge and capacity in order to consult while handling education and training. (2) It can offer a reference and inspect oneself as the leader of the study group in order to promote the leading knowledge and capacity, encourage oneself, and grown up. 5. While the institution is planning the training course, it can separate its target group in advance and according to the demands to design the course, and course plan should be designed with systemic thinking in order to offer the course equally important, including both theory and practice. 6. In order to let the indicators show the variety, it can adopt the focus group discussion method.
