在少子化的潮流下,家長選擇將子女送讀私立國中的比率增加,本研究旨在探究家長選擇私立國中的因素,家長對公私立國中的評價,家長為子女選擇就讀私立國中的主要理由與成因,並根據研究結果提出建議。 本研究採質性研究,試著瞭解家長對於公私立國中的認知與評價。進而探討家長選擇私立國中的理由,家長選擇私立國中個人與家庭因素。研究對象以雙北市十所私立國中的12位家長,進行半結構訪談。本研究的研究結果分為三部分: 第一部分家長對於公私立國中的評價,研究發現家長對於公立國中的評價為: (一)公立國中行政效能不彰; (二)公立國中辦學各有特色; (三)公立學校管教較鬆散; (四)公立國中學生背景多元、程度參差不齊; (五)公立國中教學品質難以管控。 研究發現家長對於私立國中的評價為: (一)私立國中行政回應較快; (二)私立國中偏重學科成績容易忽略孩子其他潛力; (三)私立學校教學方法較制式傳統; (四)私立國中生活常規要求多學生素質較好; (五)私立國中學生輔導機制較不完整。 第二部分家長選擇私立國中的理由,研究發現: (一)私立國中學生素質整齊環境較單純; (二)未來比較有機會就讀理想學校; (三)提供各類特色課程特色班級給家長選擇; (四)私立國中教師的教育態度較為積極; (五)家長擔心孩子在校被欺負; (六)私立國中管教較為嚴格; (七)學生上下學安全; (八)學區內公立國中風評差。 第三部分家長選擇私立國中考量的個人與家庭因素: (一)家長本身工作忙碌; (二)家長顧及子女之間的公平性; (三)家長的經濟能力; (四)家族成員與朋友的經驗。
With the trend of fertility decline, the ratio that parents choose to let their children study in private junior high schools has been increasing. This research aims to explore the factors of why parents select private junior high schools, the comments on public/private junior high schools by some parents, the main reasons and causes that parents select private junior high schools for their children and finally provide suggestions according to my research results. This research adopts the Qualitative Research method by learning the parents’ cognition and assessment for public/private junior high schools. Moreover, it explores the reasons why the parents choose private junior high schools and their personal and background causes impacting on such behavior. My research objects, twelve parents from ten private junior high schools in Taipei and New Taipei City, processed semi-structured interviews and document analysis. These research results include three parts: 1 The comments of the parents on public/private junior high schools and the comments on public ones are as follows: (1) Public ones lack administrative efficiency; (2) Public ones implement their education with different characteristics; (3) Public ones lack subjecting students to discipline; (4) The background of public ones’ students is diverse and the students’ academic standards are uneven; (5) The teaching quality of public ones is not quite controlled based on the parents’ expectations. The comments on private ones are as follows: (1) The administrative responses of private ones are quicker; (2) It might ignore other potential of students in private ones where the emphasis is on academic performance; (3) Private ones offer more orthodox and traditional teaching approaches; (4) Private ones pay more attention on students’ routine behavior resulting in better quality of students; (5) The counseling mechanism is incomplete in private ones. 2. The reasons that parent’s select private ones for their children to study are as follows: (1) The overall quality of students is more coordinated resulting in a more homogeneous study environment in private ones; (2) Students there might have more opportunities to enter their ideal schools in the future; (3) Private ones offer diverse feature curricula and characteristics classes for parents to choose from; (4) The educational attitude of the private ones’ teachers is more active; (5) Parents worry about their children being bullied; (6) The discipline is stricter in private ones; (7) It is safer for students on the way to schools or homes; (8) The reputations of public ones in parents’ school districts are poor. 3. The personal and background factors of that parents take into account to select private ones are as follows: (1) Parents are busy working; (2) Parents treat their children equally; (3) The financial ability of parents; (4) The experiences sharing between parents’ families and friends; Based on the results of this research, relevant suggestions are provided to parents and the managers of public and private junior high schools
