摘要

自古以來有許多關於「星星」的神話傳說與故事，繪聲繪影的流傳在世界各地，行星在人類的文明中都曾佔據著重要的地位，以信仰的角度，行星做為宗教實踐，掌握了天候、命運、各種通俗文化的占卜；而在科學的角度，則是天文導航上的指示方向。多種面向的星星符號意義，在不易看見滿天星斗的城市裡，人們給予星星符號的詮釋還有哪些可能性呢？
本研究以城市星夜的繪畫創作探討符號的聯想，「星夜」及「城市」在符號意義上，是自然與非自然的對立，符號是作為攜帶意義的感知，筆者以符號學中的圖像符號和圖像聯想為創作學理出發點，將在城市中所感知與星夜相似的感官形狀，作為星夜符號的聯想創作。在「星夜變奏」的同時也探討在圖像閱讀上，透過符號的聯想對於繪畫創作的影響，並且產生新的多義性閱讀與思考。
第一章緒論包含筆者的創作動機與目的，以及研究範圍與方法；第二章以符號學研究、心理學之聯想、星夜的符碼與歷史意義為創作學理探討。第三章為創作理念、內容與形式，理念來自筆者模糊的視力與日本美學之「空無」的關係，回顧星夜與自身回憶的連結以此作為創作內容，從印象派繪畫、街拍攝影等創作說明創作之形式。第四章介紹媒材、技法與作品說明，第五章為結論。

Since ancient﹐there were many myths and legends about the "stars"﹒The impression have been spread all over the world. Planets play important roles in human civilization. From the perspective of faith, the planets are religious practices. It dominates the weather, fate, divination of various popular cultures; and in science, it is the direction of the astronomical. A variety of sign meanings. In the cities where are difficult to see the stars, what is the possibility for people to interpret the stars?
This study describes the rhythm of sign with the collections of urban starry nights. "Starry Night" and "City" are the opposite of nature and unnatural in the sign sense. signs are the perceptions of carrying meaning. The imagery in semiotics is used in this article. It's based on Icon and Gestalt Psychology of creative theory, and the Association that is similar to the starry night in the city. The city is also used as the rheological collections of the starry night sign. In the "Starry Night Variation", the rheology of signs also influences the reading of images and make diversity view in reading and thinking.
This paper proposes a creative theory and introduces the purpose and scope of research in Section 1. Section 2 discusses with the study of semiology, association, the historical significance of the starry night code as the theoretical basis. Creative concept is based on whistler's paintings and Japanese aesthetics of insight to connect with the starry and reader’s memory. The concept form based on the impressionist painting and street photography is presented in Section 3. Furthermore, the media, formal, and technique are presented in Section 4 and conclude in Section 5.
