城市之疏離、交錯與揉合──繪畫創作研究

摘要


觀看世界各國的潮流,城市之擴張依然持續地進行,且大者恆大,匯聚的人口數不斷攀升;據統計目前世界上約有55%的人口居住在都市,依此增進的速度,預估在2050年後會達到68%的人口,集中居住在大都會區。 城市居民多半擁有獨自的思維與見解,因個性與生長背景不同,其人生觀、價值觀、道德觀、世界觀……也不盡相同,因此對城市的批判或讚美,受內在的思維、個人的經歷以及人與人互動關係等影響,會有許多不同面向的心情寫照;本創作研究選擇都會人的疏離感、人際交錯、人文揉合等議題,當成本創作的主要題材。城市裡人口稠密且族群多元,人際關係交錯複雜,演繹的故事相對也是多樣複雜;擁擠的城市,並不意味都會人擁有的友情、關心與愛,是豐富且滿足的,反而許多城市中人,自我感覺孤獨與疏離;面對多元的文化,市民需要相互欣賞、寬容和接納彼此的異同,並揉合成一個共有共榮的文化,這將需要我們共同的努力,發揮愛與智慧的一項重要課題。 本創作研究參考了:工程圖學、象徵主義、符號學、蒙太奇理論等學術與藝術之理論,筆者詳閱這些理論並經推敲、思考、整理、反思之後,規劃為:城市之疏離、城市之交錯與城市之揉合三個系列,並以油畫、壓克力畫、水彩畫及絹版印刷等綜合媒材交互運用,完成18幅共計約1000號的創作作品。城市之揉合系列的三幅作品〈新橋〉、〈探索森林〉、〈眼底繁華盡是空〉,筆者以「對自然界的和解與揉合」為主要的思考方向進行創作,作為本創作研究的總結、期望和願景。

Across the world, the expansion of cities continues unabated, and even at an accelerated pace, as more and more people continue to move to urban areas. About 55% of the world’s population currently live in cities. At the current rate, it is estimated that 68% of the world’s population will be concentrated in metropolitan areas after 2050. Most urban residents have their own individualistic thinking and opinions due to differences in personalities and backgrounds. Furthermore, their outlooks on life, values, morals, and world views are also different. Therefore, their criticism and praise of the city is heavily influenced by inner thinking, personal experience, and interaction between people, and will therefore have many different aspects of personal portrayal. This work focuses its main theme on the urbanites’ experience of alienation, interpersonal interlacing, and humanistic blending. Cities are densely populated and ethnically diverse, with intertwined and complex interpersonal relationships, so the stories that emerge from cities are similarly diverse and complicated. A crowded city does not mean that friendship, care and love that urban people experience are rich and satisfying. On the contrary, many people in the city feel lonely and alienated. In the face of diverse cultures, urban citizens need to appreciate, tolerate, and accept each other’s similarities and differences, and blend them into a culture of common prosperity. This mission will require our joint efforts, love and wisdom. This work referenced research in Engineering Drawings, Symbolism, Semiotics, and Montage Theory. The author studied these theories in detail, and after deliberation, thinking, sorting, and reflection, structured the work as three series : “The Alienation Of The City”, “The Interlacing Of The City”, and “The Blending Of The City”. They were created using oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolor painting, silk screen printing, and other mixed media to complete 18 original works with a total of about 1000 F. In the three works of “The Blending Of The City” series, “Xinqiao”, “Exploring the Forest”, and “All The Prosperity Turn Into Emptiness”, the author takes “Reconciliation and Blending of the Natural World” as the main thinking direction for the creations, and also as the research summary, expectations and vision.
