工藝品展示規劃研究-木以載生:國產木作工藝展個案研究

摘要


從一件工藝品創作中可以看見一個社會時代的精神表現,從其作品創作的內在概念及外在形體可以看出一個民族的宇宙觀以及當時人們的生活方式及其信仰價值觀,並透過更深入的分析,可藉由其外觀的造型及功能,發掘不同時代之間的美學特徵。 物件是一個工藝展覽不可或缺的,更是重要的知識文化傳遞的媒介,工藝展覽館通常會依照本身的成立宗旨與定位,選擇展覽中各項展覽物件的展出策略,當然展覽的選件策略面向通常會因應不同主事者而有所不同,但大致的脈絡方式是不會改變的,一個工藝博物館會因為其時空地理等條件採取不同的展覽策略,工藝展示品是如何從原本的文化脈絡中被抽離,經過去脈絡過程再重新的被安置在策展人所欲建立的敘事線中而再被賦予新的脈絡化過程、這些工藝展示品是如何被配置在整個展場空間中? 展品與展品間的關係又為何? 除展示價值外,其教育價值如何被實踐? 透過展示空間的配置,工藝展示品表述的意義網絡與館方的宗旨與目標是否具有實際的關聯性。 本研究係以由展覽文本的研究與分析出發,檢視一檔工藝展覽在其從展覽策略擬定、規劃、執行到完成所經歷的整個實踐的過程中,其中每個工藝展品的挑選、製作、文本的設計到其現場空間的配置等安排,探究在其規劃過程中,從館方策展承辦單位、策展人到參展工藝家們各自面對一檔以工藝為主的展覽時,其顧及的面向為何,與策劃一般展覽的考量有何不同,並透過深度訪談分析工藝展覽中的相關的知識權力佈局,重新再反思一檔工藝展覽的本質與價值。期待透過宏觀的歷史關照、微觀的展覽案例的分析及參與其中操作展覽實踐知識的回顧及反思,提出具體的觀察發現。

The creation of a craftwork reveals the spiritual expression of a society in a particular era. From the concept within and the format without a craft creation, one can observe the cosmic outlook of a nation as well as the lifestyle, beliefs, and values of people at the time of its creation. Further, through a more in-depth analysis of its outward appearance and functionality, aesthetic characteristics of different ages may be discovered. Objects play an indispensable role in a craft exhibition and, more importantly, serve as a crucial medium for transmitting knowledge and culture. A craft museum would adopt different exhibition strategies depending on time, space, geography, and other conditions. Careful consideration is given to the following aspects: how craft exhibits are extracted from their original cultural context and replaced in a new context provided by the narrative thread that a curator intends to create through the process of de-contextualization; how these craft exhibits are configured across the entire exhibition space; what is the relationship between different exhibits; how the educational value of these exhibits can be realized in addition to their display value; whether the meaning network expressed by the craft exhibits is substantively correlated with the purpose and goals of the museum through the configuration of the exhibition space. The present study starts from an investigation and analysis of exhibition texts to examine the entire curation process of a craft exhibition, from exhibition strategy development to exhibition planning to execution to completion, regarding the selection, production, textual design, configuration of exhibition space, and other arrangements of each craft exhibit. This study hopes to present specific observations and findings through a macro-level historical exploration, micro-level analysis of an exhibition case, and review and reflection on the experience of putting knowledge into practice during participation in exhibition operation.
