隨著消費者追求越來越輕巧電子產品,因此新世代的可攜式電子產品不僅體積越來越輕薄,其功能與續航力也日漸提升,而電路整合及高效率的架構可使產品更受消費者的青睞。 本論文為設計一整合直流對值流降壓轉換器之D類功率放大器。降壓轉換器以高效率的脈波寬度調變技術實現,並輸出1.5V的直流電壓直接供應給D類功率放大器及其它負載使用,此電路能操作在3V-5V的供應電壓下,因此能直接適應任何行動裝置的電源―鋰電池的電壓範圍。另外,D類功率放大器使用三準位脈波寬度調變的調變技術,可省略傳統D類功率放大器所需的輸出級低通濾波器電路,使電路能更進一步縮減,讓產品能夠更輕薄短小。 最後本論文使用台積電0.35μm 2P4M 3.3V/5V CMOS製程來實現,其整體轉換效率可以達到85%,當輸入音訊訊號為10KHz,且負載阻抗為8Ω時,總諧波失真可以低於0.08%。
Consumers desire the new generation of devices will be developed in smaller physical size and lower cost than existing devices, and furthermore enhance the function and the battery life. The integration of high efficiency circuit make the product more popular with consumers of all ages. This paper presents the design of an integrated class D audio power amplifier with step-down (Buck) DC to DC converter. The high efficiency pulse-width modulation (PWM) buck converter is used to supply 1.5V for the class D power amplifier and other loads. The operating voltage range can be from 3V to 5V which is used for mobile devices. The class D power amplifier uses the three level pulse width modulation (PWM) to eliminate the external output low-pass filter. The circuit is designed with TSMC 0.35μm 2P4M 3.3V/5V mixed-signal CMOS process. The best total power efficiency of this integrated circuit achieves 85%, and the total harmonic distortion (THD) is less than 0.08% at 10 KHz with 8Ω load.
