以統計分析的方式編纂專業英語教材之研究

摘要
本研究目的在於撰寫出一本適合技職體系大專院校的航空英文專用教科書/參考書，使用目前航空界常使用的AIRBUS A330機型為基礎，參考教育部在民國92年所公佈之「國民中小學英語最基本一千字詞」，以AIRBUS A330的AMM以及SRM為主，作為本研究資料庫，尋找航空界較常用的專業英文單字，未來將可以將本研究的研究辦法使用到其他機型或其他專業課程使用。 本研究使用統計分析的方法－利用C#程式語言發展一套英文單字統計分析系統程式，對飛機維護手冊來進行搜尋及統計單字。其中在統計出來的單字中，先將教育部「國民中小學英語最基本一千字詞」扣除後，再彙整出最常見的專業英文單字，將這些單字設定為本研究的基礎英文單字。 本研究進一步利用這些英文單字回到資料庫中，尋找包含最多這些專業英文單字的幾個段落，作為編纂教材的基礎資料，再將單字以及段落統整之後，可依此撰寫出航空英文專業教材。未來航空相關科系的學生可用最有效率的方式學到飛機維修手冊裡，常用的單字以及常見的文法、句型，減少許多閱讀上的困難，為未來職場上做更好的準備。 本研究以常見的AIRBUS A330手冊為基礎，發展一套系統化之各類專業領域的英語教材發展方法，可以將統計學對該專業領域的結果，結合教材編纂者自身之經驗，編寫更好更有效率之教材。未來可將類似之方法套用至其他不同之專業領域，希望能對困擾國人多年之英語學習課題提供一有效之解決途徑。

The purpose of this study is written out a suitable tertiary aviation English material. In this study, the common AIRBUS A330 model-based manuals are used. “The basic 1000 words” from Ministry of Education which was published in 2003 are also referred. The AIRBUS A330's "SRM" and "AMM" as a database, seek the words that show frequently. Similar approach can also apply on other aircraft models or other professional areas. This study used C-Sharp language to develop a statistical English words analysis program from Aircraft Maintenance Manual, searching the database and performing the complete statistics of the usage of each single vocabulary. After taking "The basic 1000 words" away, the most common professional English words in this professional area can be obtained. Using the common professional words to searching through the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, the distribution of these common professional words throughout the given materials will be realized and some certain paragraphs will standout. These paragraphs can be used as the raw materials of the proposed aviation English teaching materials. Aviation majored students can use the systemized materials to reduce the difficulties of reading in workplace, or have better preparation for the workplace. In this study, a method of professional English teaching materials has been developed based on the demand of the Aviation English and the manuals of the AIRBUS A330. The similar systemized methodology can also be applied in other professional fields in order to develop professional English teaching materials efficiently.
