針對三波導的元件結構,加上布拉格光柵輔助,設計模擬出與以往雙波導結構不同的光塞/取多工元件。在本文中,分析了以非對稱三波導結構所模擬出的雙通道光塞/取多工元件。在對稱三波導的部份,利用了傳輸波導與三光柵波導結構之布拉格光柵做波長過濾與相位調整,以模態轉換的方式來達到光塞取多工元件的功能,與以往不同的是,降低了自我反射對入射光的影響,且由於三光柵波導的結構,改善積體光學元件軸向長度遠大於橫向長度的缺點。
In this thesis, we proposed an optical add/drop multiplexer, based on three waveguide grating-assisted couplers. The device is composed of three part: input adiabatic transition region, three-waveguide grating-assisted coupler, and output transition region. Two types of operations are analyzed in this thesis: 1) for single wavelength operation, the symmetric three-waveguide grating-assisted coupler is applied in the devices. 2) For double wavelength operation, the asymmetric three-waveguide grating-assisted coupler is applied. Meanwhile, the optimum phase relations between grating-assisted couplers are also analyzed and simulated in terms of BPM method. The final results show that the return-loss of the device we proposed is improved by using the new adiabatic transition technique and the device length is shortened in using the three-waveguide structures.
