Drawing on social exchange theory, the current study examined the mediating role of trust in organization on the relationships between health-specific leadership and work engagement and job satisfaction. Data were collected from 185 full-time Taiwanese employees who work at various industries at two time points (one-month time lag). Results found full support for the mediation model of the current study, indicating that (a) health-specific leadership was positively related to work engagement and job satisfaction; and (b) the relationships between health-specific leadership and work engagement and job satisfaction were mediated by trust in organization. Theoretical and practical implications, limitations and future research directions are also discussed.
