The information systems have a great impact on organizational performance. The existing literature, however, has focused on the implementation of IS, while many issues regarding the post-implementation use of IS remain unexplored. This study proposes a research model that integrates factors at the individual and organizational levels to explain the post-implementation use of IS. The model was tested with a survey design. Four hundred and fifty-six subjects from 33 organizations participated in this study, including 344 IS users and 112 IS department employees. The confirmatory factor analysis indicates that these data are fine. The analysis using HLM shows that system quality, and individual benefits of using the IS are positively correlated with perceived value and user satisfaction. Besides, the perceived value is affected positively by computer self-efficacy. The individual load of using the IS negatively correlates with perceived value and user satisfaction. The results also indicate that the system quality moderates the relationship of the individual benefit with user satisfaction, and the information quality moderates the relationship of the individual load with perceived value. Finally, theoretical and practical implications are discussed.
