王禎和小說中的小人物研究
A study on ordinary people in Wang Chen-Ho’s novels
摘要
本論文旨在探討王禎和小說中的「小人物」形象，並嘗試以佛斯特的小說理論為分析基礎，運用其《小說面面觀》中「扁型人物」和「圓型人物」的畫分，來替王氏文本中的「小人物」性格類型作深入檢討。 由於王禎和常以寫實的手法把大家所熟悉的小人物寫入小說，使得作品的真實度和可看性增添不少，加上王氏經常把生活中的所見所聞寫進故事裡，更使得他的小說讀來令人感到親切感十足。這些有如真實版的人生故事，在勤於閱讀與寫作的王禎和筆下不斷上演，他的創作技巧益發精進，小說的精彩程度就更令人讚嘆不已，他不但將各種語言融入小說裡，使得作品中小人物的言行舉止活靈活現，更善用詼諧與嘲諷，加諸於小人物身上，使其小說不是只有呈現悲情，而卻常常引人發笑，甚或哭笑不得。凡此種種，都是本論文所亟欲探討的重要面向。 總之，王禎和的小說一直是孜孜矻矻，筆耕不輟地挖掘人性的內蘊，他不僅調侃世人，在後期創作中也會調侃自我，這樣，他的作品也就更具深刻性了。由於歷來研究王氏小說的觀點，缺乏專論「小人物」這一切入點，因此筆者針對此 一面向作深入爬梳，期待能對學界有所增益。

This study aims to explore the images of characters, ordinary people, shaped by Wang Chen-ho in his works. This study also tries to use the difference between flat characters and round characters in the novel “Aspects of the Novel “written by E. M. Forster, to explain the characteristics of ordinary people in Wang’s novels. Wang Chen-Ho often describes ordinary people in his novels in a realistic way, which makes his work more realistic and interesting to read. What’s more, Wang often puts what he encounters in his daily life into his stories, which makes his novels friendlier to read. These stories, based on what he encounters in his life, are the focus of his work. He is also an avid reader and a diligent writer. He has made progress in his writing skills by reading and writing a lot. The fantastic part of his novels often amazes his readers. He not only integrates different dialects into his novels, which makes the behavior and speech of the characters as ordinary people more lifelike, but makes good use of humor and taunts to impose on ordinary people in his novels, which makes his novels more fun to read or sometimes makes his readers not know whether to laugh or to cry instead of simply representing misery in his novels. These are the important aspects we would like to discuss in this study. Wang’s novel keeps digging into human nature. He not only makes fun of people, but also himself, in his later works. Due to the lack of specific discussion on the characters, ordinary people, in Wang’s novels, the researcher will induct and analyze this aspect in the hopes of benefitting the academic circle.
